King's Road
King's Road or Kings Road (or sometimes the King's Road, especially when it was the king's private road until 1830, or as a colloquialism by middle/upper class London residents), is a major street stretching through Chelsea, London, Chelsea and Fulham, both in west London. It is associated with 1960s in fashion, 1960s style and with fashion figures such as Mary Quant and Vivienne Westwood. Sir Oswald Mosley's British Union of Fascists, Blackshirt movement had a barracks on the street in the 1930s. The King's Road was a road built by the British in their colony of East Florida. It stretched from the St. Marys River, the border between East Florida and Georgia, to south of New Smyrna, and was mostly completed by 1773. The King's Road originated as an Indian trail on a high sand ridge paralleling the Atlantic coast. South of St. Augustine it passed westward around the navigable sections of Moultrie and Moses creeks, and then crossed the wetlands that ran along the Matanzas River south of Pellicer Creek on built-up causeways. State Road 4 (SR 4) is a two-lane state highway in Escambia, Santa Rosa, and Okaloosa counties in the western corner of the Florida Panhandle. It is signed east–west, but the road is slightly diagonal. The road runs from Century near the Alabama state line at an intersection with U.S. Highway 29 (US 29), to the farming community of Milligan at an intersection with US 90. The road cuts through the Blackwater River State Forest. McIntyre Road (and its northern sections as Kings Road and Bolivar Road) is an arterial road crossing through northern and northeastern suburbs of Adelaide in South Australia. It is designated route A18. Route Kings Road crosses the northern suburbs connecting Port Wakefield Road and Main North Road immediately north of Parafield Airport across the southern edge of Salisbury. King's Way or the Allan King Way is a footpath in Hampshire, England. This footpath was created by the Hampshire Area of the Ramblers' Association as a memorial to the late Allan King a former Publicity Officer who was partly responsible for the formation of a number of Groups in Hampshire. The route runs from Portchester to Winchester via Bishops Waltham and passes by sites such as Portchester Castle, Fort Nelson and Bishops Waltham Palace The footpath is waymarked by metal and plastic disks found attached to wooden and metal posts, trees and street furniture, marked "Allan Kings Way". Where the route coincides with the same route as other long-distance paths, the waymarking is not continuous. There is a free downloadable guide book to the route available on the Eastleigh Ramblers web site.
