Kindred Spirits (music)
Kindred Spirits is a children's choir from the London area with over 20 members between the ages of 6 and 14 years old. Recording Contract Kindred Spirits signed a recording contract with EMI Classics and recorded their first album in Summer 2007 featuring a selection of classical and popular songs including the folksong ''O Waly Waly'', the Christmas carol ''In the Bleak Midwinter'', ''Perfect Day'' from the Beatrix Potter film, and a cover version of the Coldplay hit song ''Fix You''. Their debut album was released on 10 December 2007, but failed to make in impact, despite being nominated for 'Album of 2008' by Classic FM. Their first major appearance together was a performance at the Horse of the Year Show in October 2007 which was broadcast on Sky TV channel. They were also on BBC's Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special. Kindred Spirits were dropped from EMI in January 2008 following poor album sales. EMI Classics
EMI Classics was a record label founded by Thorn EMI in 1990 to reduce the need to create country-specific packaging and catalogues for internationally distributed classical music releases. After Thorn EMI demerged in 1996, its recorded music division became the EMI Group. Following the European Commission's approval of the takeover of EMI Group by Universal Music in September 2012, EMI Classics was listed for divestment. The label was sold to Warner Music Group, which absorbed EMI Classics into Warner Classics in 2013. Classical recordings were formerly simultaneously released under combinations of Angel, Seraphim, Odeon, Columbia, His Master's Voice, and other labels, in part because competitors own these names in various countries. These were moved under the EMI Classics umbrella to avoid the trademark problems. Coldplay are a British rock band formed in London in 1997. They consist of vocalist and pianist Chris Martin, guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman, drummer Will Champion and creative director Phil Harvey. Horse Of The Year Show
The Horse of the Year Show - also known as HOYS (pronounced /hois/)- was founded to be a culmination of the British equestrian events year. The Show was the idea of Captain Tony Collings and was realised by the then Chairman of BSJA (now British Showjumping), Mike Ansell. As it was to be the end of Season Finale the show needed to be held indoors, making it a unique event. History HOYS was first held in 1949 at Harringay Arena in Harringay, London. It was held as an annual event which moved to Wembley Arena, London, ten years later. The show again moved to Birmingham's National Exhibition Centre in 2002 due to the impending closure of Wembley Arena for reconstruction, where it is now held every October. The event has become larger and more complex each year in its larger venue, including the introduction in 2003 of an extensive Equestrian Retail Village. Myleene Klass
Myleene Angela Klass (born 6 April 1978) is a British musician, singer, presenter, model and businesswoman. She was a member of the pop group Hear'Say, and later released two solo classical crossover albums in 2003 and 2007. More recently, Klass has been a television and radio presenter. She has hosted television series including ''Popstar to Operastar'' (2010–2011) and '' BBQ Champ'' (2015) on ITV and ''The One Show'' (2007) on BBC One. She was briefly a regular panellist on the ITV lunchtime chat show ''Loose Women'' in 2014.
