Kinaram (1983 Film)
''Kinnaram'' is a 1983 Malayalam comedy film directed by Sathyan Anthikkad. The film is the story of two bachelor friends who fall in love with the same girl. The film stars Nedumudi Venu, Sukumaran and Poornima Jayaram in the lead roles. Plot Unni ( Nedumudi Venu) and Sethu ( Sukumaran) are two bachelor friends staying together in Madras. Though irritating at sometimes, with his music talents, the house owner Varma ( Jagathi Sreekumar), a music director is always ready to financially support them at times. One day, Unni gets a letter from his father, asking him to receive Radha ( Poornima Jayaram), daughter of his friend who will be arriving at Madras to join at a company for a job. At the railway station, both Unni and Sethu fall for her and both try all methods to woo her. Sathyan Anthikkad
Sathyan Anthikad is an Indian film director, screenwriter, and lyricist who predominantly works in Malayalam cinema. In a career spanning five decades he has directed more than 50 films, been the lyricist for 12 films and been the scriptwriter for 6 films. He is the recipient of several accolades including a National Film Award, five Kerala State Film Awards and three Filmfare Awards. He received the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award for Humour in 2019 for his book, ''Eeswaran Mathram Sakshi.'' Sankaradi
Chandrashekaran Menon, better known by his screen name Sankaradi (14 July 1924 – 8 October 2001), was an Indian actor. He was a veteran Malayalam comedian and character artist, who had over 700 Malayalam films to his credit. He dominated the Malayalam film scene in the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s as a comedian along with Adoor Bhasi and Bahadoor. Later, he switched to character roles. Lathika ( ml, ലതിക) is an Indian playback singer whose voice held sway over the music charts in the late 1980s-early 1990s in the Malayalam film industry. She has lent her voice mainly for Malayalam and Tamil film songs for over 300 films. Simultaneously made in Malayalam and Tamil languages, the film is an extended version of the short film of the same name, which he directed in 2009. It stars Nivin Pauly, Nazriya Nazim and Bobby Simha in both versions. Supporting roles were played by Manoj K. Jayan, Shammi Thilakan, Lalu Alex, and Willson Joseph in Malayalam, while Nassar, Thambi Ramiah, John Vijay and Shabareesh Varma portrayed the characters in Tamil. The whole film is set within one day in Chennai. Shooting for the film commenced on mid-2012, were completed in March 2013. The music was scored by debutant Rajesh Murugesan, while cinematography was handled by Anend C. Chendran. The Tamil version, that was shot simultaneously had Nazriya in its Kollywood debut. Padiyath Kochumoideen Kunjalu (1930 22 May 2000), known by his stage name Bahadoor, was an Indian actor and comedian who, along with Adoor Bhasi, redefined the way in which comedy and funny scenes were perceived in the Malayalam cinema.
