Kimmage Manor
The Holy Ghost Missionary College, in Kimmage in Dublin, colloquially known as Kimmage Manor, is Holy Ghost Fathers(Spiritans) institution that has served as a Seminary training missionary priests and spawned two other colleges the ''Kimmage Mission Institute'' and the '' Kimmage Development Studies Centre''.The college church, ''The Church of the Holy Spirit (Kimmage Manor)'' serves as the parish church. Kimmage Mission Institute
Kimmage Mission Institute (KMI) was an educational institute of theology and cultures, founded 1991, by the Holy Ghost Fathers, at their Missionary College, in Kimmage Manor, Dublin. The Holy Ghost Fathers had a long history of teaching Theology and Philosophy in Kimmage to its missionaries. The KMI was developed as a response in the fall in vocations. Robert Ellison (Roman Catholic Bishop)
Robert Patrick Ellison B.Sc., S.T.L., C.S.Sp. (born 12 February 1942) is the Roman Catholic Bishop Emeritus of the Diocese of Banjul, Gambia. He was born in Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland. He went to Blackrock College secondary school, and earned a Science Degree from University College Dublin., following which he went to Rome to study theology at Gregorian University and in 1970 was awarded an STL in dogma. Bishop Ambrose Kelly C.S.Sp (born 24 June 1900, died 12 February 1952) was a member of the Holy Ghost Fathers, and served as Archbishop of Freetown and Bo, in Sierre Leone. Born in 1900 in Newhaven, Sussex, England, to Irish parents, Kelly was educated in Ireland, at Blackrock College, Dublin and trained to be a Holy Ghost priest, at Kimmage Manor, St. Marys, Rathmines and Blackrock, while studying in University College Dublin, graduating in 1922. At Blackrock he excelled at sports, captaining the Cricket team, and playing out-half in the Senior Cup Rugby Team. He also gained an inter-provincial cap. He played fly half, for Blackrocks, past-pupils rugby team, while prefect there. Two of his contemporaries also became bishops, John Joseph McCarthy, and Eugene Joseph Butler. Jack Finucane (1937 – 7 June 2017) was a Roman Catholic missionary of the Spiritan Fathers order, who with his brother Aengus Finucane, organized food shipments from Ireland to the Igbo people during the Nigerian Civil War.
