Kenneth Clark Loggins (born January 7, 1948) is an American guitarist, singer and songwriter. His early songs were recorded with the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band in 1970, which led to seven albums recorded as Loggins and Messina from 1972 to 1977. His early soundtrack contributions date back to '' A Star Is Born'' in 1976, and he is known as the King of the Movie Soundtrack. As a solo artist, Loggins experienced a string of soundtrack successes, including an Academy Award nomination for "Footloose" in 1985. Presenter Ad Visser hosted for its first fifteen years. The creator and original director of ''TopPop'' was Rien van Wijk. Many other directors followed: Egbert van Hees, Geert Popma, Henk Renou, Chris Berger, Jessy Winkelman, Wim van der Linden, Bert van der Veer and Charly Noise. Although ''TopPop'' was inspired by British music programme ''Top of the Pops'', it had its own character. "What's Your Name, What's Your Number" is a disco song written by Bobby Woods and Roger Cook and performed by the Andrea True Connection. It was released in 1977 as the second single from her second album, ''White Witch''. The song received a positive review in the ''Billboard'' magazine, which described it as "a strong disco/pop crossover tune itha subtle sexy treatment". It was moderately successful in the US and the UK, where it reached #56 and #34, respectively. In Italy, it was Andrea's highest-charting single, peaking at #15.
