Kim Sun-hyung
Kim Sun-hyung (born July 1, 1988) is a South Korean professional basketball player. He plays for Seoul SK Knights in the Korean Basketball League and the South Korean national team. Early life A native of Incheon, Kim initially harbored dreams of becoming a football player and played football through elementary school. He only switched to basketball in middle school, relatively late compared to many of his KBL counterparts, and then attended Songdo High School, the city's top basketball school. Career College Kim played college basketball for Chung-Ang University, where he was teammates with future KBL MVP Oh Se-keun and roommates with Lee Dae-sung. During his senior year, he was named the U League regular season MVP. Professional Kim was drafted by Seoul SK Knights second at the 2011 KBL rookie draft, behind Oh. Guard (basketball)
In the sport of basketball, there are five players play per team, each assigned to positions. Historically, these players have been assigned, to positions defined by the role they play on the court, from a strategic point of view. The three main positions are guard, forward, and center, with the standard team featuring two guards, two forwards, and a center. Over time, as more specialized roles developed, each of the guards and forwards came to be differentiated, and today each of the five positions are known by unique names, each of which has also been assigned a number: point guard (PG) or 1, the shooting guard (SG) or 2, the small forward (SF) or 3, the power forward (PF) or 4, and the center (C) or 5. Busan KT Sonicboom
Suwon KT Sonicboom () is a professional basketball club based in Suwon, South Korea which plays in the Korean Basketball League. Their home games are played at the Suwon KT Sonicboom Arena. Founded in 1997, the team was initially based in Gwangju and was later relocated to Yeosu, Busan and Suwon, respectively. The Wonju DB Promy is a professional basketball club in the Korean Basketball League (KBL), located in the city of Wonju. 2011 Korean Basketball League Draft
The 2011 Korean Basketball League rookie draft (Korean: 2011 KBL 국내신인선수 드래프트) was held on January 31, 2011, at the Education and Cultural Center in Yangjae-dong, Seoul, South Korea. Out of the 44 players who participated in the draft, 35 were selected. Anyang KGC won the lottery for the first overall pick, having finished in eighth place during the 2009–10 season. ''Hankook Ilbo'' () is a Korean-language daily newspaper in Seoul, South Korea. As of 2017, it had a daily circulation of about 213,200. It was previously published by the Hankook Ilbo Media Group, however following an embezzlement scandal in 2013–2014 it was sold to Dongwha Enterprise, which also owns ''The Korea Times''. Lee Dae-sung
Lee Dae-sung (born 30 May 1990) is a South Korean professional basketball player. He plays for Daegu KOGAS Pegasus in the Korean Basketball League and the South Korean national team. Early life Lee is a graduate of Samil Commercial High School, one of the province's most notable high school basketball programs. One of his contemporaries was Kim Min-goo, a year his junior, and they led the team to win the 2008 National High School Basketball Championship. He was named tournament MVP and won the Best Defensive Player award. College career Lee went on to Chung-Ang University where he was roommates with Kim Sun-hyung, his future national teammate.
