Kim Smith Gaucher (born May 7, 1984), née Kim Smith, is a Canadian professional women's basketball player, currently with the USO Mondeville in the championnat de France de basket-ball de Ligue féminine 2 (LF2). University of Utah She grew up in Mission, British Columbia, and attended Heritage Park Secondary school before attending the University of Utah and playing for its women's basketball team. She was named the ''Associated Press'' All-American Honorable Mention team in 2005, as well as the Kodak All-America Honorable Mention from 2003 through 2005. She also was named the Mountain West Conference Player of the Year in all four of her US college seasons, winning the award outright in 2003 and 2004 and sharing honours in 2005 and 2006. Basketball At The 2015 Pan American Games – Women's Tournament
The women's basketball tournament at the 2015 Pan American Games was held in Toronto, Canada at the Ryerson Athletic Centre from July 16 to 20. For these Games, the women competed in an 8-team tournament. The teams were grouped into two pools of four teams each for a round-robin preliminary round. The top two teams in each group will advance to a single elimination bracket. Puerto Rico are the defending champions from the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara, defeating Mexico, 85–67 in the final. The Mountain West Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Year is a basketball award given to the Mountain West Conference's (MW) most outstanding player. The All-America designation is an annual honor bestowed upon an amateur sports person from the United States who is considered to be one of the best amateurs in their sport. Individuals receiving this distinction are typically added to an All-America team for their sport. Some sports will have multiple All-America teams and will list the honorees as members of a first team, second team, or third team.
