Kim Eun-ha
Kim Eun-ha (born 8 March 1975) is a former professional tennis player from South Korea. A right-handed player, Kim had a serve-and-volley game and was best on hard courts. Biography Early life Kim was born in 1975, one of three daughters of fisherman Young-Soo and housewife Chung In-ja. She began playing tennis while at school at the age of 10 and graduated in 1994, after which she joined the professional tour. Professional tour Kim made the singles quarterfinals of the 1997 Danamon Open in Jakarta as a qualifier. Her performances in 1997 brought her ranking into the top 200 and she peaked at 141 in 1998. She won ITF singles titles in Seoul and Shenzhen during her career. It was in doubles that she had the most success. After winning four ITF doubles events in 1997, Kim appeared in the main draw of all four Grand Slam events in the 1998 season and reached 84 in the world that year. Thailand Open (WTA)
The Thailand Open (also known as PTT Pattaya Open) was a women's tennis tournament held in Pattaya, Thailand. Held since 1991, this WTA Tour event was classified as an International Series tournament and was played on hardcourts. The event was part of the WTA Tier V series from 1991 to 1992 and then again from 2001 to 2003. It was a Tier IV event from 1993 to 2000 and was promoted back to Tier IV in 2005, after a year's hiatus. Starting in 2009, the tournament became an International Series event. The 2015 PTT Thailand Open was the last edition. Daniela Hantuchová holds the record for the most singles titles won with three: 2011, a successful title defence in 2012, and 2015. The 2001 Summer Universiade, also known as the XXI Summer Universiade, was an international multi-sport event that took place in Beijing, China, between 22 August and 1 September. A total of 6,757 athletes from 165 nations took part in 12 sports. 1998 Asian Games
The 1998 Asian Games (), officially known as the 13th Asian Games and the XIII Asiad, was an Asian multi-sport event celebrated in Bangkok, Thailand from December 6 to 20, 1998, with 377 events in 36 sports and disciplines participated by 6,554 athletes across the continent. The football event commenced on 30 November 1998, a week earlier than the opening ceremony. Bangkok was awarded the right on September 26, 1990, defeating Taipei, Taiwan and Jakarta, Indonesia to host the Games. It was the first city to hosted the Asian Games for four times, the last three editions it hosted were in 1966, 1970 and 1978. The Bulgaria women's national tennis team represents Bulgaria in Billie Jean King Cup tennis competition and are governed by the Bulgarian Tennis Federation. Mariaan de Swardt (born 18 March 1971) is a former professional tennis player from South Africa, who was active from 1988 to 2001. She twice represented her native country at the Summer Olympics, in 1992 and 1996, and was a member of the South Africa Fed Cup team in 1992 and from 1994 to 1997. Amanda Coetzer (born 22 October 1971, in Hoopstad) is a South African former professional tennis player. Coetzer finished in the WTA rankings top 20 for ten consecutive seasons (1992–2001), peaking at world No. 3.
