Kim Do-hoon (golfer, Born March 1989)
Kim Do-hoon ( ko, 김도훈; born 12 March 1989) is a South Korean professional golfer. He is also called Kim Do-hoon 752 to distinguish him from another South Korean golfer also called Kim Do-hoon, 752 being his membership number at the Korea Professional Golfers' Association. He won the 2010 Dongbu Insurance Promy Gunsan CC Open on the Korean Tour. He played on the Japan Golf Tour from 2010 to 2015. Amateur career In October 2006, Kim represented South Korea in the Eisenhower Trophy in South Africa where the team finished 5th. In December, he was part of the South Korean team that won the gold medal in the men's team event at the 2006 Asian Games. He finished tied third in the individual event but missed out on a bronze medal on countback. Professional career Kim turned professional in 2007. The Korean Tour is a men's professional golf tour run by the Korea Professional Golfers' Association (KPGA) of South Korea. In 2011, it had total prize money of about US$14 million. Professional golf in Korea dates back to the mid 20th century. The Korean Professional Golf Championship and the Korean Open were launched in 1958 and the KPGA was founded in 1963. Various other tournaments were created over the following decades. The KPGA's tours serve as feeders for richer tours around the world. Eisenhower Trophy
The Eisenhower Trophy (World Men's Amateur Team Championships) is the biennial World Amateur Team Championship for men organized by the International Golf Federation. Since the tournament was first played in 1958, it is named after Dwight D. Eisenhower, the President of the United States at the time, who was a keen amateur golfer. The equivalent competition for women is the Espirito Santo Trophy. Results The 1958 championship resulted in a tie. There was an 18-hole playoff which Australia won with a score of 222 to the United States 224. From 1958 to 2000 the teams had four players with the best three scores counting for each round. The PGA Championship (often referred to as the US PGA Championship or USPGA outside the United States) is an annual golf tournament conducted by the Professional Golfers' Association of America. The Masters Tournament (usually referred to as simply The Masters, or the U.S. Masters outside North America) is one of the four major championships in professional golf. Kang Wook-soon ( ko, 강욱순; born 2 June 1966) is a South Korean professional golfer. Professional career Kang has played on the Asian Tour since it began in its modern form in 1995. He topped the Order of Merit in 1996 and 1998 and was the first man to reach career earnings of US$500,000 on the tour. In 2002 he was the top player on the Korean Tour. In 2003 he missed out on a PGA Tour card by one shot after three-putting the last hole of Final Qualifying to make bogey. He still qualified to play the Nationwide Tour in 2004, but despite recording a top ten finish in his third outing he left after six events.
