Kim Carson
Sherie Weil, known professionally as Kim Carson, is an American radio personality. She was born in Detroit, Michigan and graduated from Denby High School. Carson was the first full-time female air personality at a number of stations she worked at including 93FM WDRQ/Detroit. She was also awarded "Best Nighttime Radio Personality" in Detroit, and was named the 1st Place winner in the Detroit Celebrity Grand Prix. After her stint at WDRQ, she moved to WCZY-FM,(Detroit), now WKQI. There she was the first full-time female radio host hired by Gannett. Carson has worked at radio stations in Detroit including WCSX, WYCD, WDTX, WDFX, and WOW-FM. WAMG
WAMG (890 AM; "La Mega") is a radio station in the Boston market licensed to Dedham, Massachusetts. It is owned by Gois Broadcasting. It broadcasts in Spanish, and plays bachata, merengue, salsa and pop music. WLS in Chicago is the dominant (class A) station on 890 AM; WAMG must reduce power during the nighttime hours and uses a directional antenna to protect the nighttime skywave signal of WLS. WVFM, known simply as 106.5 Jack FM and formerly WQLR, is an adult hits outlet serving the Kalamazoo, Michigan radio market. The station's frequency is 106.5 MHz on the FM dial with an ERP of 33 kW. They are owned by Midwest Communications. WVFM 106.5 is located on a crowded Frequency across south-west lower Michigan. The station covers all of Kalamazoo/Battle Creek area, can be heard well in the Grand Rapids area, and reaches as far north and east as Lansing and Jackson. WLAV
WLAV-FM (96.9 FM) is a radio station broadcasting a classic rock music format in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It is the dominant classic rock-formatted radio station in the market and is generally a top ten performer in the Grand Rapids ratings. History WLAV (AM) went on the air in 1940. In 1949, WLAV-TV 7 signed on, later becoming WOOD-TV 8. WLAV-FM began broadcasting by 1948. The station was a simulcast of WLAV 1340 in its early days, but began to break the simulcast in the early 1970s to first utilize the syndicated "Love" format with the likes of Brother John and then went live to play AOR music at night.
