Kim's Convenience
''Kim's Convenience'' is a Canadian television sitcom that aired on CBC Television from October 2016 to April 2021. It depicts the Korean Canadian Kim family that runs a convenience store in the Moss Park neighbourhood of Toronto: parents "Appa" (Paul Sun-Hyung Lee) and "Umma" (Jean Yoon) – Korean for ''dad'' and ''mom'', respectively – along with their daughter Janet (Andrea Bang) and estranged son Jung (Simu Liu). Other characters include Jung's friend and coworker Kimchee ( Andrew Phung), his manager Shannon (Nicole Power) and Janet's friend Gerald Tremblay ( Ben Beauchemin). The series is based on Ins Choi's 2011 play of the same name. The first season was filmed from June to August 2016 at Showline Studios in Toronto. It is produced by Thunderbird Films in conjunction with Toronto's Soulpepper Theatre Company, with Lee and Yoon reprising their roles from the play. Ivan Fecan
Ivan Fecan is a Canadian media executive producer and philanthropist. Fecan was the president and chief executive officer of Baton Broadcasting and its successor CTVglobemedia from 1996 to 2011, and chief executive officer of the CTV Television Network from late 1998 to 2011. Early life and education Fecan was born in Toronto, Ontario in 1954. He attended York University, receiving a BA in Fine Arts. Career In 1984, at the age of 31, Ivan was offered a job with NBC. He served as their vice-president of creative development for two years, before returning to Canada to become director of television programming for CBC Television in 1987. Corner Gas
''Corner Gas'' is a Canadian television sitcom created by Brent Butt. The series ran for six seasons from 2004 to 2009. Re-runs still air on CTV, CTV2, CTV Comedy Channel, Much, MTV, E! and are streaming on Crave and Amazon Prime. The series was followed by a feature film titled '' Corner Gas: The Movie'', with the entire cast reprising their roles. The film was released for a limited theatrical run in December 2014. Ben Beauchemin is a Canadian actor and stand-up comedian from Winnipeg, Manitoba.
