Leningrad Oblast ( rus, Ленинградская область, Leningradskaya oblast’, lʲɪnʲɪnˈgratskəjə ˈobləsʲtʲ, , ) is a federal subjects of Russia, federal subject of Russia (an oblast). Volosovsky District (russian: Во́лосовский райо́н) is an administrativeOblast Law #32-oz and municipalLaw #64-oz district (raion), one of the seventeen in Leningrad Oblast, Russia. A rural settlement is a self-governing political division in Russia. A rural settlement is composed of one or more contiguous rural communities: towns, villages, hamlets, farmsteads, exurbs, resorts, villas, stanitsas (Cossack settlements), kishlaks (settlements of Turkic peoples), auls (Caucasian fortified villages), or any other type. Political authority in rural settlements is exercised by the inhabitants, either directly or through elected (or otherwise constituted) bodies. Kikerino
Kikerino is a village in the Volosovsky District of the Leningrad Oblast. It is the administrative centre of the Kikerinsky Rural Settlement. Kikerino was an urban-type settlement from April 20, 1930 until this was revoked as part of municipal reforms on 15 July 2004. It lies on the P.38 Gatchina - Volosovo - Opole road. Peter Vaulin established a ceramic factory here in 1906. It produced Maiolica Maiolica is tin-glazed pottery decorated in colours on a white background.
