Kiddy Cidny
Kidderminster is a large market town, market and historic minster (church), minster town and civil parish in Worcestershire, England, south-west of Birmingham and north of Worcester, England, Worcester. Located north of the River Stour, Worcestershire, River Stour and east of the River Severn, in the 2011 census, it had a population of 55,530. The town is twin towns and sister cities, twinned with Husum, Germany. Situated in the far north of Worcestershire (and with its northern suburbs only 3 and 4 miles from the Staffordshire and Shropshire borders respectively), the town is the main administration centre for the wider Wyre Forest District, which includes the towns of Stourport-on-Severn and Bewdley, along with other outlying settlements. History The land around Kidderminster may have been first populated by the Husmerae, an Anglo-Saxon tribe first mentioned in the Ismere Diploma, a document in which Ethelbald of Mercia granted a "parcel of land of ten hides" to Cyneberht. ...

Kidderminster Town Hall
Kidderminster Town Hall is the town hall of Kidderminster, Worcestershire, England. The complex, which includes the corn exchange and the town hall and is the home of Kidderminster Town Council, is grade II listed. History The original town hall in Kidderminster was located in the High Street. In the early 1850s, the local member of parliament, Robert Lowe, led an initiative to procure a new civic complex; the site civic leaders selected had previously been occupied by a vicarage. The earliest part of the current complex is the corn exchange which was designed by Bidlake and Lovall in the neoclassical style and officially opened on 4 January 1855. It was two storeys high and was constructed out of red brick with stone dressings.
