Kiara Munteanu
Kiara Lisa Munteanu (17 December 1997) is an Australian gymnast. Munteanu was part of Australia's women's gymnastics team for the 2014 and 2015 World Championships. Early life Munteanu was born in Melbourne, Victoria. She began practicing gymnastics at age 4. Her mother put her in gymnastics because she was energetic and very active. Her first gym was Niddrie Gymnastics. Career Munteanu became an elite gymnast at 11 years old. Munteanu began competing as at the senior level in 2012. That year, she placed first in floor exercise and second all-around at the Australian national championships. She was named to Australia's team for the World Gymnastics Championships in 2014 and 2015 where the team placed seventh and fourteenth, respectively. Munteanu also competed at the Pacific Rim 2014 Gymnastics Championships, placing sixth in uneven bars and tenth all-around. 2014 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships
The 2014 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships was held in Nanning, China at the Guangxi Gymnasium from 3–12 October 2014. The competition was the fourth time a World Artistic Gymnastics Championships has been held in the continent of Asia. Competition schedule All times are CST (UTC+8). Venues Main Arena The main arena where the competition was held was the Guangxi Gymnasium, which opened in 2012. Training Gymnasium The training facility for the competition was held at the Li Ning Sports Park. 2015 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships
The 2015 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships was the forty-sixth edition of the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships. The competition was held from 23 October – 1 November 2015 at The SSE Hydro in Glasgow, United Kingdom, and is the first time that Scotland hosted the event. The competition served as a qualification for the 2016 Summer Olympics. Japan won the men's team all-around competition for the first time since 1978, and the United States won the women's team all-around title for the third straight time. In the individual all-around competitions, Kōhei Uchimura and Simone Biles won their sixth and third successive title, respectively. Qualifying in thirteenth place, team Romania failed to automatically qualify to the Olympic Games for the first time since 1966. Floor (gymnastics)
In gymnastics, the floor is a specially prepared exercise surface, which is considered an apparatus. It is used by both male and female gymnasts. The gymnastics event performed on the floor is called floor exercise. The English abbreviation for the event in gymnastics scoring is FX. A spring floor is used in all of gymnastics to provide more bounce, and also help prevent potential injuries to lower extremity joints of gymnasts due to the nature of the apparatus, which includes the repeated pounding required to train it. Cheerleading also uses spring floors for practice. The sprung floor used for indoor athletics, however, is designed to reduce bounce. Gymnastics World Championships refers to a number of different world championships for each of the disciplines in competitive gymnastics. Prahran (), also pronounced colloquially as Pran, is an inner suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 5 km south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Stonnington local government area. Prahran recorded a population of 12,203 at the 2021 census. Prahran is a part of Greater Melbourne, with many shops, restaurants and cafes. Chapel Street is a mix of upscale fashion boutiques and cafes.
