Kia-Ora
Kia-Ora is a concentrated fruit soft drink brand, made by Atlantic Industries (a subsidiary of the Coca-Cola Company) and licensed for manufacturing in Ireland and up to 2019 in the UK by Coca-Cola Enterprises Ltd. The juice drink is sold in a concentrated state. History The brand-name is taken from ''kia ora'', a Māori language greeting which has entered New Zealand English. The first Kia-Ora was a lemon squash sold by Arthur Gasquoine in Sydney, Australia, in 1903. The brand was bought by the Dixon family in the same year; the first factory was established by Roland Dixon in Prahran in Melbourne. The original factory chimney still exists and is now a heritage-listed building. The first bottle off the production line is still in the hands of the Dixon family, as is the original recipe for Chilli Cordial, one of the first flavours launched, alongside orange and lemon. Lemon Squash
Squash (sometimes known as cordial in British English, dilute in Hiberno English, and diluting juice in Scottish English) is a non-alcoholic beverage with concentrated syrup used in beverage making. It is usually fruit-flavoured, made from fruit juice, water, and sugar or a sugar substitute. Modern squashes may also contain food colouring and additional flavouring. Caramba (band)
Caramba was a Swedish novelty music group. They released one self-titled album in 1981, with the single "Hubba Hubba Zoot Zoot" peaking at number 1 in Sweden. The album is chiefly notable due to the entire album being recorded in nonsense language. The songs are made to sound like certain styles of music by imitating the phonemic structure of languages from the appropriate regions. The album was produced by Michael B. Tretow, who is primarily famous for engineering ABBA's records, and featured vocals by another Polar Music artist, Ted Gärdestad. A number of other noted Swedish musicians and singers were rumoured to have taken part in the Caramba recordings, but Tretow confirmed in an interview in 2015 that he and Gärdestad were the primary artists. Robinsons is an English fruit drink brand owned by Britvic. Robinsons has a royal warrant from the monarch and was an independent company until 1995 when it was acquired by Britvic. Geoff Dunbar is an English animator and director known for his animated music video ''Rupert Bear and the Frog Song'' for Sir Paul McCartney and ''The World of Peter Rabbit and Friends'' from the stories by Beatrix Potter. He championed a hand-sketch style of animation. Career He left school at 15 and joined Larkins Studio when he was 18/19. where he learnt animation. Golliwog
The golliwog, also spelled golliwogg or shortened to golly, is a doll-like character – created by cartoonist and author Florence Kate Upton – that appeared in children's books in the late 19th century, usually depicted as a type of rag doll. It was reproduced, both by commercial and hobby toy-makers, as a children's toy called the "golliwog", a portmanteau of ''golly'' and ''polliwog'', and had great popularity in the UK and Australia into the 1970s. The doll is characterised by jet black skin, eyes rimmed in white, exaggerated red lips and frizzy hair, a blackface minstrel tradition. Today the word is regarded as a racial slur towards black people. Though home-made golliwogs were sometimes female, the golliwog was generally male.
