Khwarizmi International Award
The Khwarizmi International Award is a research award given annually by the President of Iran. The awardees, 10 senior researchers and 10 young researchers, are selected by the Iranian Research Organization for Science and Technology (IROST). It honors "individuals who have made outstanding achievements in research, innovation and invention, in fields related to science and technology". The award is given to the most prominent scientists and engineers, with a recent emphasis on digital and mechanical technologies, and is generally considered as the most prestigious scientific award in Iran. Participation is open to non-Iranian researchers. Iranian Research Organization For Science And Technology
Iranian Research Organization for Science and Technology (IROST) (in fa, سازمان پژوهش‌های علمی و صنعتی ایران) is a comprehensive science policy research center directly attached to the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of Iran which was approved and ratified by Revolutionary Council of Iran in 1980. IROST is the biggest research center in Iran and is particularly engaged in development of strategies, policies, R&D systems, management, foresight and evaluation of related Science and Technology (S&T) development and S&T for economic progress. COMSATS
The Commission on Science and Technology for Sustainable Development in the South (COMSATS) is an inter-governmental organization, having a membership of 25 developing countries and one non-state member from three continents, Latin America, Africa and Asia. Twenty two S&T/R&D institutions of developing countries are affiliated with COMSATS as its Network of International S&T Centers of Excellence for Sustainable Development in the South. Alireza Rastegar (Persian: علیرضا راستگار, born May 17, 1978) is an Iranian inventor, author, and recipient of numerous national and international awards. Mohammad Reza Darafsheh
Mohammad Reza Darafsheh (born 31 August 1950) is an Iranian Mathematician and Professor of Mathematics at the University of Tehran, and a member of the executive committee of the Iranian Mathematical Society. He received a B.Sc. in Mathematics from the University of Tehran with first rank in 1974 and M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from University of Birmingham in 1975 and 1978 respectively under the supervision of Donald Livingston. His dissertation was titled "On some Subgroups of C_1."
