Khezha or Kuzha, is a major language of the Chakhesang Naga ethnic group of Phek District in the southern part of Nagaland, India. It is generally spoken by the Khezha people and is one of the three major languages of the Chakhesang Nagas. ''Khezha'' or ''Kuzhale'' is predominantly spoken in Pfütsero and Chizami region of Phek District. Phek District
Phek District (pron:/ˈfɛk/) is a district in the Indian state of Nagaland. At , the district is the seventh-most populous district in Nagaland and 596th most populous district in India with 163,418 inhabitants. The district is home to 8.26% population of Nagaland. The district headquarter is located at Phek, 120 kilometres from Kohima, the capital of Nagaland and the largest urban centre is Pfütsero. History Phek District was established in 1973 when it was carved out of the erstwhile Kohima District. The name Phek comes from the word ''Phekrekedze'', meaning watchtower. Pfütsero
Pfütsero is a town located in the Phek District of the Indian state of Nagaland. It is the highest-altitude town and the coldest inhabited place in Nagaland with temperatures occasionally dropping below 0 °C during winter nights. It is headed by an ADC and is inhabited mostly by Khezhas and Chokris. It is a commercially important town as it is located in the middle of Phek District. Chakhesang Naga
The Chakhesangs are a major Naga ethnic group found in the Indian state of Nagaland. Chakhesangs were previously known as the former Eastern Angamis, now recognized as a separate ethnic group. The Chakhesangs are divided into two groups known as Chokri and Khezha. The name "Chakhesang" was created as an acronym from the names of three ethnic groups: the Chakrü (Chokri), Khezha and Southern Sangtam (now Pochury). Chizami
Chizami is a village in the Phek District of the Indian state of Nagaland. It is a small village that falls under the North-Eastern region of India. Ukhrul district ( Meitei pronunciation:/ˈuːkˌɹəl or ˈuːkˌɹʊl/) is an administrative district of the state of Manipur in India with its headquarters at Ukhrul, that is Hunphun. Angami–Pochuri Languages
The Angami–Pochuri languages are a small family of Sino-Tibetan languages spoken in southern Nagaland and Northern Manipur of northeast India. Conventionally classified as "Naga", they are not clearly related to other Naga languages, and are conservatively classified as an independent branch of Sino-Tibetan, pending further research.
