Kevin José Rodríguez Cortez (born 4 March 2000) is an Ecuadorian footballer who plays as a forward for Belgian Pro League club Royale Union Saint-Gilloise and the Ecuador national team. Club career Imbabura Born in Ibarra, Rodríguez joined hometown side Imbabura at the age of 13. He progressed through the youth setup until making his first team debut in 2017, featuring in two matches as his club was relegated from the Serie B. Rodríguez started to feature more regularly in 2018, scoring seven times in the national stage of the Segunda Categoria. After scoring 11 goals overall during the 2019 season, he only scored once in five matches in 2020. In 2021, he only scored twice as his side returned to the second level. The Liga Pro Betcris, simply known as the Liga Pro, or the Serie A, is a professional football league in Ecuador. At the top of the Ecuadorian football league system, it is the country's premier football competition. Contested by sixteen clubs, it operates a system of promotion and relegation with the Serie B, the lower level of the Primera Categoría. 2022 FIFA World Cup Squads
The 2022 FIFA World Cup was an international football tournament held in Qatar from 20 November to 18 December 2022. The 32 national teams involved in the tournament were required to register a squad of up to 26 players, including three goalkeepers. Only players in these squads are eligible to take part in the tournament. A provisional release list of between 35 and 55 players per national team was submitted to FIFA by 21 October 2022, one month prior to the opening match of the tournament. The release lists were not made public by FIFA. Gustavo Alfaro
Gustavo Julio Alfaro (born 14 August 1962) is an Argentine football manager and former player who manages the Ecuador national football team. Although Alfaro had a short career as a footballer, he was captain of the Atlético de Rafaela, when they were promoted to the Argentine Primera División in 1989. Alfaro retired as a player from football in 1992 to concentrate on his coaching career. He his first league title came with Arsenal de Sarandí in the 2012 Clausura. Coaching career Alfaro started his career as manager working for Atlético de Rafaela and Patronato de Paraná in the early 1990s.
