Kerkdriel is a town in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is a part of the municipality of Maasdriel, and lies about 8 km north of 's-Hertogenbosch. The town of Kerkdriel had 6,765 inhabitants, on 1 January 2019. Maasdriel
Maasdriel () is a municipality in the province of Gelderland, in the eastern Netherlands. Maasdriel was formed on 1 January, 1999 by the merger of the former municipalities of Ammerzoden (including Well, Wellseind en Wordragen), Hedel, Heerewaarden, Maasdriel (Alem, Hoenzadriel, Kerkdriel and Velddriel) and Rossum (including Hurwenen). Teisterbant
Teisterbant was a pagus (province) of Lotharingia/Middle Francia. It was located in the present-day Netherlands, bordered by the rivers Lek and Waal. Modern-day West-Betuwe (the southern part of the province of Gelderland) shares most of the same land including towns such as Batenburg, Vianen, Tiel, Culemborg, Geldermalsen. The historic fiefdoms of Altena, Arkel, Buren, Heusden and Vianen were also part of it.
