Kenneth Rocafort
Kenneth Rocafort (born 1983) is a Puerto Rican illustrator of comic books, known for his work on titles including ''Superman'', ''Red Hood and the Outlaws'', ''Astonishing Tales: Wolverine/Punisher'', '' ''Teen Titans'''', '' ''The Ultimates'''', and his most recent graphic novel ''GROKEN''. Career Kenneth Rocafort has worked in various fields of the entertainment industry such as theatre, video game box art, storyboard for advertisement, comics, magazine, card game and toy box art. He was in charge of set design and preparation of the stage for diverse theatrical works inside and outside the University of Puerto Rico and he sometimes also designed the wardrobe. In animation field, he has worked in the area of storyboard and character design. He illustrated the toy boxes for G.I. ''Threshold'' was an ongoing comic book series published by DC Comics, as part of The New 52. ''Threshold'' is written by Keith Giffen and illustrated by Tom Raney. The series explores the space-oriented side and cosmic mythos of DC Universe. Publication history ''Threshold'' was announced on October 12, 2012, as part of a "Fourth Wave" of comics for The New 52. Free Comic Book Day (FCBD) is an annual promotional effort by the North American comic book industry to attract new readers to independent comic book stores. It usually takes place on the first Saturday of May and is often cross-promoted with the release of a superhero film. Over two thousand participating stores give away millions of comic books annually. The event was proposed by Joe Field in the August 2001 issue of '' Comics & Games Retailer'' magazine and Free Comic Book Day was launched in 2002, coordinated by the industry's single large distributor, Diamond Comic Distributors. Sideways (Derek James) is a superhero created by writers Dan DiDio, Justin Jordan, and artist Kenneth Rocafort who appears in media published by DC Comics. Publication history The character debuted in ''Sideways'' #1, which was originally promoted in spring 2017 as part of a group of new comic series set for release in fall 2017. They were branded as the "Dark Matter" line and their stories follow events from the '' Dark Nights: Metal'' crossover. In November 2017, the line was rebranded as " The New Age of DC Heroes" and publication was delayed until early 2018. The first issue of ''Sideways'' was published February 14, 2018. Dan DiDio (; born October 13, 1959) is an American writer, editor, and publisher who has worked in the television and comic book industries. From February 2010 until February 2020, he was the co-publisher of DC Comics, along with Jim Lee. '' Wizard'' magazine recognized him as its first ever "Man of the Year" in 2003 for his work in the DC Universe line of comics. The New 52 is the 2011 revamp and relaunch by DC Comics of its entire line of ongoing monthly superhero comic books. Following the conclusion of the " Flashpoint" crossover storyline, DC canceled all its existing titles and debuted 52 new series in September 2011. Among the renumbered series were ''Action Comics'' and ''Detective Comics'', which had retained their original numbering since the 1930s. The relaunch included changes to the publishing format; for example, print and digital comics began to be released on the same day. New titles were released to bring the number of ongoing monthly series to 52.
