Kenneth Lin (playwright)
Kenneth Lin (born 1978) is an American playwright and screenwriter. Lin's plays have been performed throughout the world and his TV shows have been distributed via Netflix, HBO, Cinemax, Hulu and more. In theatre, he is best known for his plays ''Po Boy Tango, Farewell My Concubine'' (coming soon), and ''Kleptocracy (''just released). In Television, he is best known for his work on the Netflix series ''House of Cards,'' the Hulu Series, ''The First,'' and the Cinemax series, ''The Warrior.'' He is a member of the theater/music/film collective New Neighborhood. ''Warrior'' is an American martial arts crime drama television series that premiered on April 5, 2019, on Cinemax. It is based on an original concept and treatment by Bruce Lee, and is executive-produced by his daughter, Shannon Lee, and film director Justin Lin. Jonathan Tropper, known for the Cinemax original series ''Banshee'', is the showrunner. In April 2019, Cinemax renewed the series for a second season which premiered on October 2, 2020. It was Cinemax's final series before ceasing production of original programming. Second Stage Theater is a theater company founded in 1979 by Robyn Goodman and Carole Rothman and located in Manhattan, New York City. It produces both new plays and revivals of contemporary American plays by new playwrights and established writers. Pacific Playwrights Festival
The Pacific Playwrights Festival (PPF), a national forum for playwrights and theatre leaders, is dedicated to developing and producing new American plays. It is held every summer at South Coast Repertory in Costa Mesa, California. Within the American theatre there is an ongoing need for playwrights to have the opportunity to develop new work with the support of a community of artists. In recent years, many programs that did exist have been redirected or ended.
