Kendal Williams
Kendal Williams (born September 23, 1995) is an American professional track and field athlete specializing in the sprints. Representing the United States at the 2014 World Junior Championships in Athletics, he earned gold medals in the 100 meters and the relay, upsetting teammate and favorite Trayvon Bromell in the who had earlier that year become the first junior to break the 10-second barrier. Williams attended Stanton College Preparatory School where he won multiple state titles and was a high school All-American. He went to Florida State University on scholarship in 2014 and competed for the Seminoles in 2015, placing second in the Atlantic Coast Conference Championships with a wind-assisted 9.98 seconds run as a freshman. However he transferred to the University of Georgia after his freshman year, following coach Ken Harnden whose contract had not been renewed by Florida State. The North American, Central American and Caribbean Championships is a continental track and field athletics event organised by the North American, Central American and Caribbean Athletic Association. The 2014 World Junior Championships in Athletics was an international athletics competition for athletes qualifying as juniors (born 1995 or later) which was held at the Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, USA, on 22–27 July 2014. World Athletics U20 Championships
The World Athletics U20 Championships is a biennial world championships for the sport of athletics organised by the World Athletics, contested by athletes in the under-20 athletics age category (19 years old or younger on 31 December in the year of the competition. The competition was launched as the IAAF World Junior Championships in Athletics in 1986 and renamed to IAAF World U20 Championships in November 2015. The current name was adapted with the name change of the sports governing body in 2019. Anneisha McLaughlin-Whilby is the most successful athlete at the championships, having won one gold and four silver in individual and relay sprinting events between 2000 and 2004.
