, known professionally by his ring name , is a Japanese professional boxer. He is a two-time and Unified champion, unified light flyweight champion, having held the World Boxing Council, WBC light flyweight title from 2017 to 2021, and the unified WBA (Super), WBC, and The Ring (magazine), ''The Ring'' light flyweight titles since 2022. As of November 2022, he is ranked as the world's best active light flyweight by ''The Ring (magazine), The Ring'', the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board, ESPN, and BoxRec. Personal life Shiro is the son of Hisashi Teraji, a boxer who won the Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation, OPBF light heavyweight and Japanese national middleweight title. Light flyweight, also known as junior flyweight or super strawweight, is a Weight class (boxing), weight class in boxing. Professional boxing The weight limit at light flyweight in professional boxing is 108 pounds (49 kilograms). When New York (state), New York legalized boxing in 1920, the law stipulated a "junior flyweight" class, with a weight limit of 99 pounds. When the National Boxing Association was formed in 1921, it also recognized this weight class. However, on January 19, 1922, the NBA decided to withdraw recognition of the junior flyweight division. Hassan N'Dam N'Jikam (born 18 February 1984) is a French Cameroonian professional boxer. He has held a middleweight world championship twice, including the WBO title in 2012 and the WBA (Regular) title in 2017, and has challenged once for a super-middleweight world title in 2019. A split decision (SD) is a winning criterion in boxing, most commonly in full-contact combat sports, in which two of the three judges score one particular competitor as the winner, while the third judge scores for the other competitor.
