Ken Overlin (August 15, 1910 – July 24, 1969), was an American-born middleweight boxer who fought professionally from 1931 to 1944, compiling a record of 131 wins (23 by knockout), 18 losses, and 9 draws. Al Hostak
Albert (Al) Paul Hostak (January 7, 1916 – August 13, 2006), nicknamed "the Savage Slav," was an American middleweight boxer who fought from 1932-1949. Hostak twice held the National Boxing Association Middleweight title between 1938 and 1940. He was known as a hard puncher and had a record of 64 wins (41 knockouts), 9 losses (3 knockouts), and 11 draws. In 2003, Hostak made ''The Ring'' Magazine's list of 100 greatest punchers of all time. Vince Dundee (October 22, 1907 – July 27, 1949), born Vincenzo Lazzara in Sicily, became the New York State Athletic Commission world middleweight champion when he defeated reigning champion Lou Brouillard on October 30, 1933. His title was also recognized by the National Boxing Association (NBA). Early life The Lazzara family emigrated from Sicily to the United States and lived in Baltimore. Lloyd Marshall
Lloyd Marshall (June 4, 1914 – August 4, 1997) was an American light heavyweight Boxing, boxer who was inducted posthumously into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in June 2010. Pro career Marshall began his boxing career at the age of 17 and turned pro in 1936. In 1943 Marshall fought for the "Duration" Light Heavyweight Title against Jimmy Bivins. During the bout, Bivins was knocked down in the 7th for a 2-count, and then Marshall was down for nine in the 9th, and at the bell in the 12th. Marshall was then counted out in the 13th to lose the bout. In 1944 he captured the Vacant "Duration" World Light Heavyweight Title with a victory over Nate Bolden. Due to the fact that he fought at his peak during World War II, Marshall never fought for an officially recognized world title.
