Ken Fogarty
Ken Fogarty (born in Manchester, England) is a (naturalised) American soccer coach. Fogarty was Head Coach and Technical Director of the Cayman Islands national team from 1993 to 1994 and from 1996 to 1998. Professional career Fogarty began his professional career with Stockport County at the age of seventeen. He then moved to the United States to play for the Los Angeles Skyhawks of the second American Soccer League (ASL) in 1976, the year they won the ASL Championship. He returned to England to play for Stockport County until returning to the US in 1979 to play for the Fort Lauderdale Strikers of the North American Soccer League (NASL). He remained with the Strikers through the end of the 1983 season. When the Strikers moved north to Minnesota, Fogarty went with the team for the final NASL season in 1984. American Professional Soccer League
The American Professional Soccer League (APSL) was a professional men's soccer league with teams from the United States and later Canada. It was formed in 1990 by the merger of the third American Soccer League with the Western Soccer League. It was the first outdoor soccer league to feature teams from throughout the United States since the demise of the North American Soccer League in 1984. The league was sanctioned as Division II in the United States soccer league system but was the country's ''de facto'' top professional soccer league until 1995. In 1993, the APSL applied for the vacant Division I role but lost out to Major League Soccer who would begin play in 1996. For its final two seasons in 1995 and 1996, the APSL changed its name to the A-League.
