Kemar Lawrence
Kemar Michael Lawrence (born 17 September 1992) is a Jamaican professional footballer who plays as a left-back for Major League Soccer club Minnesota United and the Jamaica national team. His nickname is Taxi. In January 2014, Lawrence was announced as a brand ambassador for PepsiCo as part of the 2014 FUTBOLNOW campaign featuring footballers such as Lionel Messi and Sergio Agüero. Early life Lawrence is the son of former goalkeeper Orville 'Tutus' Edwards, rated among the best goalkeepers in the Caribbean during his career, who played for Santos FC and the Jamaica national team during the 1970s, and who died in 2005 at 53 years of age from kidney failure. Roy Miller Hernández (born November 24, 1984) is a Costa Rican professional footballer who plays as a defender for Sporting San José. Career Club Miller began his career in the youth ranks of Cartaginés. In 2002, he went on trial with Argentine side Olimpo de Bahía Blanca, but was unable to acclimate himself to the club and returned to Costa Rica. Miller turned professional with Cartaginés before moving to the north of Norway at Bodø/Glimt along with his compatriot and teammate at Cartaginés, Randall Brenes. He had a successful stay at Bodø/Glimt, appearing in 52 league matches and scoring 6 goals, leading to interest from top Norwegian side Rosenborg. MLS Caribbean Combine
The Major League Soccer Caribbean Combine is an annual showcase of Caribbean football talent between the ages of 18 and 21 organized jointly by Major League Soccer and the Caribbean Football Union in 2013, with the inaugural combine being held in January 2014. All 31 member associations are encouraged to send representatives that fit the criteria. The combine provides opportunities for Caribbean players to be observed by MLS scouts with the hopes of being invited to the MLS Combine, an invite-only showcase event held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida prior to the annual MLS SuperDraft.
