Kello Rovers Football Club are a Scottish football club, based in the town of Kirkconnel, Dumfries and Galloway. Nicknamed ''Super K'', they were formed in 1903, and they play at Nithside Park. Currently playing in the , they wear black and white striped strips (uniforms). The team have been managed since June 2017 by John Quinn. Greg Gallagher is the new manager for the 2022/23 season. Kirkconnel
Kirkconnel ( Gaelic: ''Cille Chonaill'') is a small parish in Dumfries and Galloway, southwestern Scotland. It is located on the A76 near the head of Nithsdale. Principally it has been a sporting community. The name comes from The Church of Saint Conal. In 1850 the village had only a single street. Next to Kirkconnel is a separate village called Kelloholm. It is also associated with the ballad ''Helen of Kirkconnel''. History The early church and settlement were situated at the foot of Kirkland Hill on the drove road from Ayrshire to Lanarkshire, which followed the steep incline beside the Glenaylmer Burn. Whether Saint Conal was an Irish monk or the son of a local shepherd befriended and educated by Glasgow's Saint Mungo, Christianity came early to this part of Nithsdale. Motherwell ( sco, Mitherwall, gd, Tobar na Màthar) is a town and former burgh in North Lanarkshire, Scotland, United Kingdom, south east of Glasgow. It has a population of around 32,120. Historically in the parish of Dalziel and part of Lanarkshire, Motherwell is the headquarters for North Lanarkshire Council. Geographically the River Clyde separates Motherwell from Hamilton to the west whereas the South Calder Water separates Motherwell from Carfin to the north-east and New Stevenston and Bellshill towards the north. Motherwell is also geographically attached to Wishaw and the two towns form a large urban area in North Lanarkshire, with both towns having similar populations and strong community ties. Andy Paton
Andrew Paton (2 January 1923 – 8 February 2014) was a Scottish football player and manager. A centre half, Paton played primarily for Motherwell, with a short spell at Hamilton Academical late in his career, and he then managed Hamilton for nine years. He won the Scottish Cup, Scottish League Cup and Scottish Division Two with Motherwell – having joined as a teenager from the Junior level during World War II – and in 2006 was voted the club's 'greatest ever player'. On 10 November 2020, it was announced that Paton was to be inducted into the Motherwell F.C. Hall of Fame. Quintin Young (born 19 September 1947) is a Scottish former footballer. He is best known for his time with Rangers. Career Young started his career at local side Ayr United in 1969 before moving to English team Coventry City two years later. After two season in England he moved to Ibrox.
