Keith Paora Curry
Keith Paora Curry (sometimes ''Keith Paul Curry'') was the first male nurse in New Zealand's Plunket maternal health service. On 23 May 2005, the Northland Polytechnic-trained bilingual nurse with 10 years nursing experience started work at the Plunket Society, New Zealand's century-old maternal health organisation. In May 2010 Curry was sentenced to a year in prison for internet grooming a 14-year-old girl and a 15-year-old girl between June and September 2009. Curry was also disciplined in 2011 for giving a pregnant woman inappropriate drugs in July 2009. Neither occurred while he was working for Plunket. Plunket Society
The Royal New Zealand Plunket Trust provides a range of free services aimed at improving the development, health and wellbeing of children under the age of five within New Zealand, where it is commonly known simply as Plunket. Its mission is "to ensure that New Zealand children are among the healthiest in the world". Much of Plunket's work is organised by volunteer bases throughout New Zealand. Northland Polytechnic
NorthTec (Tai Tokerau Wānanga) is a tertiary education provider in northern New Zealand, with its main campus in Raumanga, Whangarei. NorthTec provides programmes ranging from foundation, certificate, diploma and degree levels. Child grooming is befriending and establishing an emotional connection with a minor under the age of consent, and sometimes the child's family, to lower the child's inhibitions with the objective of sexual abuse.
