Keith Brown (American Football)
Keith Wayne Brown (born March 30, 1983) is an American football wide receiver who is currently a free agent. On May 15, 2012, Brown signed a one-year contract for the 2012 National Football League season with the Houston Texans but never played due to injury. He was signed by the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent in 2006. Brown has also played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Early years Brown attended Edward H. White High School in Jacksonville, Florida. He along with Dee Webb and Jamaal Fudge were elected to Ed White's Sports Wall of Fame in the same year. He played college football at the Rhode Island Rams, University of Rhode Island. Professional career Detroit Lions Brown was signed by the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent in 2006. Keith Edward Brown (born February 14, 1964) is a retired Major League Baseball (MLB) pitcher. He played during four seasons in MLB for the Cincinnati Reds. He was drafted by the Reds in the 21st round of the 1986 amateur draft. Brown played his first professional season with their Rookie league teams (the Gulf Coast Reds and Billings Mustangs) and their Double-A Vermont Reds in 1986. Keith Robert Brown (born 18 March 1963 in Edmonton, Middlesex, England) is a former English first-class cricketer. Keith Brown was educated at the Chace Comprehensive School, Enfield and he represented Middlesex and Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) as a right-handed batsman, wicket-keeper and occasional right-arm slow-medium bowler in 247 first-class matches between 1984 and 1998, scoring 10,487 runs (average 35.19; highest score 200 not out) with 499 dismissals (466 catches and 33 stumpings). He was the county's sixth most prolific wicket-keeper. He also scored 4,749 runs in 248 List A matches (average 29.31; highest score 114) with 217 dismissals (168 catches and 49 stumpings). Keith Jeffrey Brown (born May 6, 1960) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman who played sixteen seasons in the National Hockey League from 1979 until 1995. His first fourteen seasons were played with the Chicago Black Hawks. Playing career Brown was drafted seventh overall by the Blackhawks in the 1979 NHL Entry Draft. Boston Bruins' general manager Harry Sinden was eager to select Brown with Boston's eighth overall pick, but had to change his plans when Brown was selected by Chicago. Sinden's "Plan B" ended up being future Hall Of Fame defenceman Raymond Bourque, who was selected by Boston immediately after Brown. Known for his competitiveness, Brown helped Chicago reach the Stanley Cup finals in 1992. Late in his career, Brown was dealt to the expansion Florida Panthers in exchange for Darin Kimble. Keith Spalding Brown (June 1913 – July 1991) was an American athlete, politician and businessman. He broke the pole vault world record both indoors and outdoors and was also a good high jumper. He later became involved in politics and served as the Republican Party's state chairman in Arizona for two years. Athletic career Although Brown had tried pole vaulting early on, he only took it up seriously after being cut from the basketball team of his high school, Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts. In May 1931, he cleared 13 ft  in (4.08 m) at an interscholastic meet at the Harvard Stadium, a new national high school pole vault record. By doing so, he was following in the footsteps of his uncle Bobby Gardner, who in 1912 had become the first jumper to clear 13 feet (3.96 m). He was a Progressive Conservative Party member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1959 to 1967 representing the riding of Peterborough. Background Brown was born in Bonarlaw, Ontario. A Republican, he is currently serving in the New York State Assembly, representing the 12th district, which encompasses portions of the towns of Babylon, Huntington, and Islip within Suffolk County.
