Abraham Lincoln Keister
Abraham Lincoln Keister (September 10, 1852 – May 26, 1917) was a Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Pennsylvania. Biography Abraham L. Keister was born in Upper Tyrone Township, Pennsylvania. After graduating from Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio in 1874, he studied law, was admitted to the bar by the supreme court of Ohio in 1878, and commenced practice in Columbus, Ohio. In 1882, he moved to Fayette County, Pennsylvania, where he engaged in the manufacture of coke. Seven years later, he organized the First National Bank of Scottdale, Pennsylvania Scottdale is a borough in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, southeast of Pittsburgh. Bill Keister
William Hoffman Keister (August 17, 1871 – August 19, 1924) was a professional baseball player who played infielder and outfielder in the Major Leagues from 1896 to 1903. He would play for the Baltimore Orioles (NL), Boston Beaneaters, St. Louis Cardinals, Baltimore Orioles (AL), Washington Senators, and Philadelphia Phillies. In the five full seasons that he played, each of the teams that Keister played for finished last in the league for double plays. In 621 games over seven seasons, Keister posted a .312 batting average (758-for-2433) with 400 runs, 133 doubles, 63 triples, 18 home runs, 400 RBI, 131 stolen bases, .349 on-base percentage and .440 slugging percentage. John Keister (comedian)
John Keister (born February 15, 1956) is a Seattle-based comedian, writer, rock critic, commentator and motivational speaker, best known as the host of the local comedy program ''Almost Live!'' from 1988 to 1999. A native of Seattle, he grew up in the Seward Park neighborhood and graduated from Franklin High School in 1974. He was an editor for '' The Daily'' as a student at the University of Washington, graduating with a degree in communications in 1979. He wrote for '' The Rocket'' and initially joined KING-TV as a music reviewer on a program called ''REV'' in 1984. Shortly thereafter, he joined the cast of KING's local comedy program Almost Live! with his best friend Pat Cashman. Shane Keister is an American musician. He is known for his work as a studio musician, writer, arranger and producer. He plays synthesizer, piano, Hammond B3, Synclavier, Fairlight CMI, Fender Rhodes, and others. History Keister was born in Huntington, West Virginia and grew up in the small southern Ohio town of Portsmouth. He began playing the piano at the age of three. As a child and teenager, he studied piano under Dorothy Knost. In junior high school, he studied percussion and jazz under Ralph Harrison. Keister Family Fiddlers
The Keister Family Fiddlers is a Canadian musical group from Chestermere made of sisters Quinn, Claire, Faith, and Paige Keister; who are often accompanied by their mother Sherry Keister in performances. They have performed in different countries, including South Korea and China. For a number of years the Fiddlers were regular performers at the Calgary Stampede. The group plays traditional and Celtic style music. Each of the sisters began playing the fiddle when they were six years old. In addition to fiddles, the group use other instruments, such as the ugly stick and tambourine. Sometimes square dancing or tap dancing will be performed while playing the fiddle. Kiester Township is a township in Faribault County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 320 at the 2000 census. Kiester Township was organized in 1872, and named for Jacob Kiester, a local historian who afterward served as state legislator. Martin County is a county in Minnesota, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population was 20,025. Its county seat is Fairmont.
