(official name: ) is a stadium in Chiba City, Chiba, Japan. It opened in 1990 and holds approximately 30,000 people. It is primarily used for baseball and is the home field of the Chiba Lotte Marines. It is also used for Rugby union. The stadium was built in a multi-purpose circular shape, similarly shaped like now-demolished American stadiums like Three Rivers Stadium or Busch Memorial Stadium. is a passenger railway station located in Mihama-ku, Chiba city, Chiba Prefecture, Japan, operated by the East Japan Railway Company (JR East). Island Platform
An island platform (also center platform, centre platform) is a station layout arrangement where a single platform is positioned between two tracks within a railway station, tram stop or transitway interchange. Island platforms are popular on twin-track routes due to pragmatic and cost reasons. They are also useful within larger stations where local and express services for the same direction of travel can be provided from opposite sides of the same platform thereby simplifying transfers between the two tracks.
