"Keep Away" is a song by American rock band Godsmack. It was released as the second single from the band's album ''Godsmack''. An acoustic version was included on '' The Other Side''. Godsmack is an American rock band from Lawrence, Massachusetts, formed in 1995. The band is composed of lead singer and rhythm guitarist Sully Erna, bassist Robbie Merrill, lead guitarist Tony Rombola and drummer Shannon Larkin. Since its formation, Godsmack has released seven studio albums, one EP ('' The Other Side''), four DVDs, one compilation album ('' Good Times, Bad Times... Godsmack Songs
Godsmack is an American rock band founded in 1995 by singer Sully Erna and bassist Robbie Merrill. The band has released eight studio albums, one EP, two compilations, three video albums, and thirty-four singles. Erna and Merrill recruited local friend and guitarist Lee Richards and drummer Tommy Stewart to complete the band's lineup. In 1996, Tony Rombola replaced Richards, as the band's guitarist. In 1998, Godsmack released their self-titled debut album, a remastered version of the band's self-released debut, '' All Wound Up...''. The album was distributed by Universal/Republic Records and shipped four million copies in the United States. In 2001, the band contributed the track "Why" to the Any Given Sunday soundtrack. ''The Other Side'' is an acoustic EP by American rock band Godsmack, released on March 16, 2004. It includes several previously released songs re-recorded as acoustic versions, as well as three new acoustic tracks. One new song, " Touché", featured Godsmack's first guitarist, Lee Richards, as well as John Kosco, who were at that time in the now defunct band Dropbox. The other two new acoustic tracks are " Running Blind" and "Voices" which are old songs that vocalist Sully Erna wrote but never recorded. The song "Asleep" is actually an acoustic, shorter and calmer version of "Awake" from the band's second album, ''Awake''. Recording According to Sully Erna, the band decided to do an acoustic record because they have always messed around with acoustic versions of their music and gotten great reactions to it. "Voodoo", written by lead singer Sully Erna, is a single by rock band Godsmack from their self-titled album. The song "Voodoo" was best known for its use in the MTV television program ''Fear''. The video, directed by Dean Karr, shows witches performing a ritual with swords. The band is shown throughout the video playing in a corn field. A naked gorgon is shown dancing, which is also part of the ritual. Zombies come out of a lake and wander through the woods. The video features Laurie Cabot and members of her coven at that time.
