Keegan Daniel
Keegan Rhys Daniel (born 5 March 1985) is a South African rugby union player who last played for the in Super Rugby and in the Currie Cup and the in the Rugby Challenge. Born in the rural farming town of Humansdorp, Daniel started his education at Gonubie Primary before moving off to one of South Africa's best known rugby nurseries, Dale College. Daniel played Craven Week for the rugby team in 2003 and was recruited afterwards by the Natal Rugby Academy. Daniel came onto the provincial scene in the Super Rugby competition which earned him a place in the South Africa Under-21 team. Daniel represented them in the 2006 Under 21 Rugby World Championship in France where South Africa lost 24–13 in the final to the hosts. He was nominated for player of the tournament and went on to claim the South African Under-21 Player of the Year for 2006. Humansdorp
Humansdorp is a small town and surrounding district in the Eastern Cape of South Africa, with a population of around 29,000 during the South African National Census of 2011, census of 2011. It is part of the Kouga Local Municipality of the Sarah Baartman District Municipality, Sarah Baartman District. The town is the centre of the district's light industry and farming. Humansdorp was founded in 1849, and was named after Johannes Jurie Human and Matthys Gerhardus Human, who were joint founders of the Dutch Reformed Church congregation there. The town's residential streets are lined with trees that were planted before the First World War by then-mayor Ambrose Saffery. The Avontuur Railway, Apple Express passes through Humansdorp. 2015–16 Top League
The 2015–16 Top League was the 13th season of Japan's domestic rugby union competition, the Top League. It kicked off on 13 November 2015 and was completed on 24 January 2016. The final was won by Panasonic Wild Knights defeating Toshiba Brave Lupus by 27–26. A short pre-season competition was also played from 3 September to 10 October 2015 to provide each Top League team with five official matches before the regular season. ''SA Rugby'' magazine is a monthly South African Rugby Union magazine that covers Springboks, international, Super Rugby, Currie Cup, Varsity Cup, regional, provincial, club and schools rugby. History The first issue of ''SA Rugby'' magazine, dated April 1995, cost R8.50 and went on sale two months before the 1995 Rugby World Cup, which was hosted by South Africa. Springboks wing Chester Williams was on the cover. ''SA Rugby'' magazine was initially published by Random House Struik, before being sold to Strobe Publishing, which published the magazine until the December 2001-January 2002 issue, when Strobe closed. Top League
Japan Rugby League One (formerly the Top League) is a rugby union competition in Japan. It is the highest level of professional rugby competition in the country. The Japan Rugby Football Union created the competition in 2003, by absorbing the Japan Company Rugby Football Championship, to drive up the overall standard and popularity of the sport and improve the results of the Japan national rugby union team. The chief architect of the league was Hiroaki Shukuzawa who strongly felt the urgency of improving Japanese domestic company rugby to a professional level which would allow Japan to compete more convincingly at Rugby World Cups. 2014 Super Rugby Season
The 2014 Super Rugby season is the fourth season of the 15-team format for the Super Rugby competition involving teams from Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. For sponsorship reasons, this competition is known as Asteron Life Super Rugby in Australia, Investec Super Rugby in New Zealand and Vodacom Super Rugby in South Africa. Including its past incarnations as Super 12 and Super 14, this is the 19th season for the Southern Hemisphere's premier transnational club competition. Blue Bulls
The Blue Bulls (known for sponsorship reasons as the Vodacom Blue Bulls) is a South African rugby union team that participates in the annual Currie Cup tournament. They are governed by the Blue Bulls Rugby Union and are based at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria, Gauteng province. In 1997 the Northern Transvaal team, representing the Northern Transvaal Rugby Union (NTRU), was renamed, officially taking on their then nickname the Blue Bulls. The NTRU itself became the Blue Bulls Rugby Union and the United Rugby Championship team operated by the union was renamed simply the Bulls (rugby), Bulls.
