Kazuma Kobori
Kazuma Kobori (born 25 October 2001) is a New Zealand professional golfer. He won the 2019 New Zealand PGA Championship and the individual title at the 2023 Eisenhower Trophy. Amateur career In 2019, Kobori was runner-up at the Australian Boys' Amateur. He won the SEC NZ PGA Championship on the PGA Tour of Australasia and was runner-up at the Carrus Open on the Charles Tour. In 2023, Kobori cemented his position as New Zealand's top male amateur golfer. He won the Australian Amateur two strokes ahead of Arron Edwards-Hill of England. He also won the Western Amateur at North Shore Country Club near Chicago, an Elite Amateur Series championship, and captured the individual honors at the Eisenhower Trophy in Abu Dhabi. The Queensland PGA Championship is a golf tournament on the PGA Tour of Australasia. The tournament is currently held at Nudgee Golf Club in Nudgee. History The event was founded as the Queensland Professional Championship in 1926. The inaugural championship was played at Brisbane Golf Club in late November with 12 professionals competing. The 2022 Eisenhower Trophy took place 31 August – 3 September at Le Golf National and Golf de Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche south-west of Paris, France. It was the 32nd World Amateur Team Championship for the Eisenhower Trophy. Defending champion was team Denmark. Format The tournament was a 72-hole stroke play team event. Eisenhower Trophy
The Eisenhower Trophy (World Men's Amateur Team Championships) is the biennial World Amateur Team Championship for men organized by the International Golf Federation. Since the tournament was first played in 1958, it is named after Dwight D. Eisenhower, the President of the United States at the time, who was a keen amateur golfer. The equivalent competition for women is the Espirito Santo Trophy. Results The 1958 championship resulted in a tie. There was an 18-hole playoff which Australia won with a score of 222 to the United States 224. From 1958 to 2000 the teams had four players with the best three scores counting for each round. The Nomura Cup, also known as the Asia-Pacific Amateur Golf Team Championship, is a biennial amateur team golf championship for men organised by the Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation.
