Kayanja Muhanga
Lieutenant General Kayanja Muhanga (born 1965), is Ugandan army officer. He currently serves as Commander Of Land forces in UPDF . He was appointed to that position in October 2022 by the President of Uganda and Commander in chief of the UPDF, Yoweri Museveni. He previously served as commander of the Uganda People's Defence Force contingent in Eastern DRC under operation code named Operation Shujja. He was appointed to that position in January 2021 by General Yoweri Museveni, the Commander in Chief of the UPDF and the President of Uganda. Prior to that, Maj. Major General Elly Kayanja (born 1959), is a Ugandan military officer in the Uganda People's Defence Forces (UPDF). Effective September 2014, he is the Head of ''Operation Wealth Creation Programme'', whose objective is to improve the standard of living of rural citizens, through farming. Previously, he served as the Deputy Director of National Intelligence, under General David Sejusa. Prior to that, he served as the Director General of the Internal Security Organisation. Frederick Kayanja
Frederick Ian Bantubano Kayanja (born 4 August 1938) is a Ugandan veterinarian, academic, and academic administrator. He has been the chancellor of Gulu University, a public institution of higher education, since October 2014, replacing Martin Aliker. He is a former vice chancellor of the Mbarara University of Science and Technology. He assumed that position in 1989 and stepped down in October 2014. Before that, he served as the deputy vice chancellor of Makerere University, the oldest and largest public university in Uganda. Background and education Kayanja holds a Bachelor of Science degree, awarded by the University of London in 1963. His Master of Science degree, obtained in 1965, and his degree of Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine, obtained in 1967, were both awarded by the same university.
