Elly Kayanja
Major General Elly Kayanja (born 1959), is a Ugandan military officer in the Uganda People's Defence Forces (UPDF). Effective September 2014, he is the Head of ''Operation Wealth Creation Programme'', whose objective is to improve the standard of living of rural citizens, through farming. Previously, he served as the Deputy Director of National Intelligence, under General David Sejusa. Prior to that, he served as the Director General of the Internal Security Organisation. Rakai District
Rakai District is a district in the Central Region of Uganda. The town of Rakai is the site of the district's headquarters. Jinja is a city in the Eastern Region of Uganda, located on the North shores of Lake Victoria. Location Jinja is in Jinja District, Busoga sub-region, in the Eastern Region of Uganda. Katumba Wamala
Edward Katumba Wamala (born 19 November 1956), more commonly known as Katumba Wamala, is a Ugandan general who serves as Minister of Works and Transport in the Ugandan cabinet, since 14 December 2019. Before that, from 17 January 2017 until 14 December 2019, he served as Minister of State for Works in the Ugandan cabinet. He previously served as the chief of defense forces of Uganda, the highest military rank in the Uganda People's Defense Force (UPDF), from 2013 until 2017. Kasirye Ggwanga
Major General Kasirye Ggwanga (26 August 1952 – 9 June 2020), was a Ugandan military officer in the Uganda People's Defence Force. He was previously incarcerated as a prisoner of war for 897 days, inside both Uganda and Tanzania. He was a presidential advisor on Buganda Kingdom affairs. Henry Tumukunde
Henry Tumukunde is a politician and retired senior military officer of the Uganda People's Defence Forces (UPDF). He ran as an independent for president in the 2021 Ugandan general election. Brigadier Peter Kerim (1955–2012) was a military officer in Uganda. He was a senior commander in the Uganda People's Defence Force (UPDF). At the time of his death, he was the Deputy Commander of the National Reserve Force within the UPDF. Prior to that, he served as the Deputy Director of the ''External Security Organisation''. Julius Oketta
Major General Julius Facki Oketta (3 October 1956 – 5 November 2016) was a military officer in Uganda. He was a senior commander in the Uganda People's Defence Force (UPDF). Before his death, he was the Director of National Emergency Coordination and Operations in the Office of the Prime Minister of Uganda. In October 2013, the President of Uganda nominated and the Secretary General of the United Nations endorsed General Oketta to join the advisory group of the United Nations (UN) Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF). Brigadier Nobel Mayombo, sometimes spelled Noble Mayombo, (1965–2007), was a Ugandan military officer, lawyer and legislator. Background He was born in Kabarole District, Toro sub-region, Western Uganda, in 1965. He belonged to the Babiito Royal Clan in the Kingdom of Toro, one of the four constitutional monarchies in modern-day Uganda. His father, Canon James Rwabwoni, born in 1926, was still alive in 2007. Elly Tumwine
General Elly Tumwine (12 April 1954–25 August 2022), was a Ugandan military officer, professional artist, and educator. He was the former Security Minister in the Cabinet of Uganda, from March 2018 until 2021. He retired from active military service in July 2022.
