Kavaklıdere (winery)
Kavaklıdere is the oldest and best known winery in Turkey. Founded by the And family, it is located in Ankara and is named after a neighborhood in the city. Kalecik Karası, Boğazkere, and Öküzgözü are local grapes typically found in Turkish wines. These are often blended with Shiraz and other grapes. Shiraz (grape)
Syrah (), also known as Shiraz, is a dark-skinned grape variety grown throughout the world and used primarily to produce red wine. In 1999, Syrah was found to be the offspring of two obscure grapes from southeastern France, Dureza and Mondeuse Blanche.
