Katie Forward
Katie Vandenborre (born September 11, 1994) is a Canadian curler from Fredericton, New Brunswick. She currently plays lead on Team Jessica Daigle. She has won three New Brunswick Scotties Tournament of Hearts and two New Brunswick junior titles. Career Juniors Vandenborre's first national level event was at the 2013 Canadian Junior Curling Championships as lead for Jessica Daigle. There, her team went 4–6 threw the round robin and championship pool, missing the playoffs. She returned the following year with the same team as in 2013 and they once again went 4–6. Women's Out of juniors, Vandenborre joined the Melissa Adams rink. She was the teams alternate before moving up to lead following Lister's departure. They competed at the 2017 New Brunswick Scotties Tournament of Hearts which was Vandenborre's second, having been the teams alternate the previous year. 2017 Scotties Tournament Of Hearts
The 2017 Scotties Tournament of Hearts was held from February 16 to 26 at the Meridian Centre in St. Catharines, Ontario. The Rachel Homan rink, representing Ontario, won their third national title; with Homan becoming the youngest skip, man or woman, to ever win three national championships. Her team represented Canada at the 2017 World Women's Curling Championship in Beijing from March 18 to 26. 2020 Scotties Tournament Of Hearts
The 2020 Scotties Tournament of Hearts, Canada's national women's curling championship, was held from February 15 to 23 at Mosaic Place in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. The winning team was scheduled to represent Canada at the 2020 World Women's Curling Championship at the CN Centre in Prince George, British Columbia. Manitoba's Kerri Einarson defeated Ontario's Rachel Homan 8–7 in the final. Jestyn Murphy
Jestyn Murphy (born September 21, 1996) is a Canadian curler from Mississauga, Ontario. She currently skips a team on the World Curling Tour. Career Youth Murphy won the Ontario Bantam championship in 2013, skipping a team out of the Listowel Curling Club. Murphy was a member of the University of Guelph women's curling team. In her first year, Murphy played third for the team, which was skipped by Katelyn Wasylkiw. The team played in the 2015 CIS/CCA Curling Championships, going 3-4. The next season, Murphy skipped the team, and led them to a bronze medal at the 2016 CIS/CCA Curling Championships. Murphy was named then Gryphon Athlete of the Week for the University of Guelph. Women's Murphy was the alternate for the Jacqueline Harrison rink at the 2017 Canadian Olympic Pre-Trials, but missed the playoffs. The 2019 KIOTI TRACTOR Tour Challenge was held from November 5 to 10, at the Pictou County Wellness Centre in Westville Road, Nova Scotia. It was the second Grand Slam event of the 2019–20 season. In the men's tier 1 final, Brad Jacobs of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario defeated Brad Gushue of St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador to win his 5th Grand Slam. The Grand Slam of Curling (branded as the Pinty's Grand Slam of Curling for sponsorship reasons) is a series of curling bonspiels that are a part of the annual World Curling Tour. Grand Slam events offer a purse of at least CAD$100,000, and feature the best teams from across Canada and around the World. The Grand Slam was instituted during the 2001–02 season for men and 2006–07 for women (with the 2006 Players' Championship also considered a Slam), but some of the Grand Slam events have longer histories as bonspiels. Andrea Crawford
Andrea Kelly (born July 31, 1985), previously known as Andrea Crawford, is a Canadian curler from Fredericton, New Brunswick. She currently skips her own team out of the Capital Winter Club in Fredericton. She is a nine-time New Brunswick Scotties Tournament of Hearts champion skip, winning six straight titles from 2009–2014. Career Juniors Kelly's first national experience came at the 2002 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, where she would represent New Brunswick. Her team would finish round robin with a 6–6 record and a seventh-place finish. Although Kelly would not win the New Brunswick junior championship in 2003, she would attend the 2003 Canada Winter Games, where she won a bronze medal.
