Katelyn Jong
Katelyn Jong (born July 28, 2006) is an American artistic gymnast and a member of the United States women's national gymnastics team. She is the 2021 U.S. Junior National Champion. Early life Jong was born to Simon and Yoomin Jong in 2006 in Allen, Texas. She started gymnastics in 2010. Gymnastics career HOPEs 2018–19 In 2018 Jong was part of the USA Gymnastics HOPEs program. She competed at the Buckeye National Qualifier and the KPAC National Qualifier. At the latter she earned her qualifying score to compete at the Hopes Classic. Jong finished 26th at the Hopes Classic. In 2019 Jong re-qualified as a Hopes gymnast at the World Champion's National Qualifier. At the HOPEs Classic Jong co-won the all-around title alongside Michelle Pineda and Paityn Walker. Additionally she won the uneven bars title and placed fifth on vault, twelfth on balance beam, and fourteenth on floor exercise. Allen, Texas
Allen is a city in Collin County in the U.S. state of Texas, and a northern suburb of Dallas. According to the 2020 U.S. census its population was 104,627, up from 84,246 in 2010. Madray Emmanuelle Johnson (born July 16, 2007) is an American artistic gymnast. She is the 2021 Junior Pan American Games champion on uneven bars and balance beam and is the 2022 U.S. junior national champion. Gymnastics career Junior 2021 In February, Johnson competed at the WOGA Classic where she placed second. She next competed at the 2021 Winter Cup where she placed third in the all-around and third on balance beam. She next competed at the American Classic where she placed third in the all-around and won bronze on uneven bars. Gymnastics Balance Beam
The balance beam is a rectangular artistic gymnastics apparatus and an event performed using the apparatus. Both the apparatus and the event are sometimes simply referred to as "beam". The English abbreviation for the event in gymnastics scoring is BB. The beam is a small, thin beam which is typically raised from the floor on a leg or stand at both ends. Gymnastics Uneven Bars
The uneven bars or asymmetric bars is an artistic gymnastics apparatus. It is made of a steel frame. The bars are made of fiberglass with wood coating, or less commonly wood. The English abbreviation for the event in gymnastics scoring is UB or AB, and the apparatus and event are often referred to simply as "bars". The bars are placed at different heights and widths, allowing the gymnast to transition from bar to bar. A gymnast usually adds white chalk to the hands so that they can grip the bar better. The ''Opelika-Auburn News'' is a daily newspaper in Alabama, serving Opelika, Auburn, and the surrounding communities. History The newspaper began as the weekly ''Opelika Industrial News'', on September 11, 1890. On May 30, 1904, the newspaper began publication as the ''Opelika Daily News''. In 1968, Millard B. Addison Fatta ( ) (born November 23, 2004) is an American artistic gymnast. She is a member of the United States national gymnastics team. Early life Fatta was born to Tony and Jen Fatta in 2004 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She started gymnastics in 2005. Gymnastics career Junior 2017–19 Fatta qualified as an elite-level gymnast in 2017. The 2022 Winter Cup was an artistic gymnastics competition held at the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco. Like the previous year it included both men's and women's artistic gymnastics.
