Kate Hogan (curler)
Katherine Hogan (born October 22, 1991 as Katherine Cameron) is a Canadian curler from New Bothwell, Manitoba. She currently plays third on Team Casey Scheidegger. Career In 2008 Hogan skipped a team to win the U16 Provincial Championship. The team included Nicole Sigvaldason, Sheyna Andries and Emily Helston. In 2010 Hogan lost the junior provincial final to Breanne Meakin. Hogan's team included Nicole Sigvaldason, Sheyna Andries and Kelsey Hinds. In 2012 again Hogan lost the junior provincial final to Shannon Birchard. Hogan threw last stones for Team Vandepoele, the team included skip, Alyssa Vandepoele, Abby Ackland and Sheyna Andries. After juniors, Hogan graduated to a women's curling career. She won her first World Curling Tour event as a skip at the 2012 Atkins Curling Supplies Women's Classic. 2022 Players' Championship
The 2022 Players' Championship, Princess Auto Players' Championship was held April 12–17 at the Mattamy Athletic Centre in Toronto, Ontario. It was the fourth Grand Slam of Curling, Grand Slam and final major of the 2021–22 curling season, following the cancellation of the Open (curling), Meridian Open. Despite feeling ill in the final due to food poisioning, Anna Hasselborg led her team to their seventh Grand Slam title, and completed a career Grand Slam, becoming the first women's team to do so. Qualification The top 16 ranked men's and women's teams on the World Curling Federation's world team rankings qualified for the event. 2017 Manitoba Scotties Tournament Of Hearts
The 2017 Manitoba Scotties Tournament of Hearts, the provincial women's curling championship of Manitoba, was held from January 25 to 29 at the Eric Coy Arena in Winnipeg. The winning Michelle Englot team represented Manitoba at the 2017 Scotties Tournament of Hearts in St. Catharines, Ontario, finishing second. The event was most notable for the defeat of the defending Olympic champion Jennifer Jones rink in the semifinal. Jones lost to Darcy Robertson who proceeded to lose to the Michelle Englot rink in the final. Englot, who is a resident of Regina, Saskatchewan had won seven provincial titles in her home province, but joined her new Winnipeg-based team in the 2016 off season, replacing their previous skip Kristy McDonald who had lost in the final of the 2016 Manitoba Scotties Tournament of Hearts. Michelle Englot
Michelle Englot (born January 22, 1964 in Montmartre, Saskatchewan; formerly known as Michelle Ridgway and Michelle Schneider); is a Canadian curler from Regina, Saskatchewan. She currently plays second on Team Brooklyn Stevenson. She is a nine-time provincial champion skip. Career Englot started curling at age twelve, and represented Saskatchewan at the 1983 Canada Winter Games. Englot won her first Saskatchewan Scott Tournament of Hearts provincial championship in 1988, she defeated Kathy Fahlman 10–0 in the final. This qualified Englot for her first Tournament of Hearts national championship. At the 1988 Scott Tournament of Hearts, she finished with a 9–2 record, but lost in the semi-final to Heather Houston of Ontario. Kerri Einarson
Kerri Einarson (; born October 3, 1987 as Kerri Flett) is a Canadian Métis curler from Camp Morton, Manitoba, in the Rural Municipality of Gimli. Einarson is the three-time reigning women's national champion in curling, skipping her team to victory at the 2022 Scotties Tournament of Hearts, 2021 Scotties Tournament of Hearts and the 2020 Scotties Tournament of Hearts. She previously won silver in 2018. She has also won two provincial mixed curling championships in 2010 and 2013. Barb Spencer
Barbara Spencer (born Barbara Jay Kirkness, February 14, 1966) is a Canadian curler from Sanford, Manitoba. Spencer is a former Canadian Junior champion and a three-time provincial champion. Career Spencer had a successful junior career, playing third for her sister, Darcy's team. The team won the 1984 Canadian Junior Curling Championships for Manitoba. Two years later, Spencer won the provincial mixed championship, playing third for Hal Tanasichuk. Spencer won her first provincial women's title, playing third for her sister, Darcy. The rink, which also included Barbara Fetch and Faye Irwin would go on to represent Manitoba at the 1986 Scott Tournament of Hearts. Leslie Wilson-Westcott, also known as Leslie Wilson (born September 1, 1979 in Winnipeg, Manitoba) is a Canadian curler from Pinawa, Manitoba. Career Wilson-Westcott won her first provincial women's championship in 2010 playing second on Team Jill Thurston. Kristy McDonald (born May 20, 1979 as Kristy Jenion) is a Canadian from Winnipeg, Manitoba. McDonald retired from 2016–2021, but returned to the playing for the 2021–22 season. Career Juniors McDonald had a strong junior career, skipping teams to win both the 1996 and 1999 Manitoba Junior Curling Championships. She would represent Manitoba in both of those years at the Canadian Junior Curling Championships. At the 1996 Canadian Juniors, her team which included Ainsley Holowec, Shea Westcott and Raunora Westcott finished with a 5–7 record at the Canadian Juniors. At the 1999 Canadian Juniors, her team was made up of Reagan Wilkie, Charmaine Forese and Kyla Denisuik.
