Kaspars Bērziņš
Kaspars Bērziņš (born 25 August 1985) is a Latvian professional basketball player for New Taipei CTBC DEA of the T1 League. He has also represented the senior Latvian national team. Professional career Kaspars started playing basketball in his hometown of Ogre. Later he played for Skonto Riga, debuting in 2002–2003 season. His role increased in 2003–2004, when he averaged 7.3 points and 3.3 rebounds for Skonto in the LBL and 7.3 points and 3.0 rebounds in the FIBA Europe League, now known as the FIBA EuroCup. In both of those seasons Bērziņš played together with Andris Biedriņš. In 2004 both of them left Skonto. Biedriņš was drafted in the NBA by the Golden State Warriors, while Bērziņš moved to Spain where he joined Unicaja Málaga. He briefly played for Unicaja's first team, where he competed in one game in the ACB league, scoring two points, but most of his season was spent with the junior team in the EBA, Spain's second division. Latvian National Basketball Team
The Latvia men's national basketball team ( lv, Latvijas basketbola izlase) represents Latvia in international basketball. They are organized and run by the Latvian Basketball Association. Latvia has reached the European Basketball Championship 15 times, with their ultimate success occurring during the inter-war period, when they became the first team to win the tournament in 1935. Four years later, they had another impressive run to come away with the silver in 1939. Although after 1939, Latvia were forced to suspend their national team operations, due to the Occupation of the Baltic states during World War II. BK Ogre
BK Ogre is a professional basketball club based in Ogre, Latvia playing in the Latvian Basketball League and Latvian-Estonian Basketball League.Profesionālais klubs tika dibināts 2014. gadā, bet līdz tam bija vietējā komanda, kas spēlēja otrā līmeņa basketbolu. FIBA Europe League
FIBA EuroChallenge (called the FIBA Europe League in 2003–05, and FIBA EuroCup in 2005–08) was the 3rd-tier level transnational men's professional continental club basketball competition in Europe, from 2003 to 2015. 2023 T1 League Finals
The 2023 T1 League Finals was the championship series of the T1 League's 2022–23 season and conclusion of the season's playoffs. The best-of-seven final series was played by the winners of the semifinals series. The finals series started on May 13 and ended on May 21. The series was matched by New Taipei CTBC DEA and Tainan TSG GhostHawks. On May 21, the New Taipei CTBC DEA defeated the Tainan TSG GhostHawks, 4–0, winning the 2022–23 season championship. The New Taipei CTBC DEA ( zh, 新北中信特攻) are a Taiwanese professional basketball team based in New Taipei City, Taiwan. They have competed in the T1 League since the 2021-22 season, and play their home games at the Xinzhuang Gymnasium. The DEA became one of the six teams of the inaugural T1 League season.
