BK Ogre is a professional basketball club based in Ogre, Latvia playing in the Latvian Basketball League and Latvian-Estonian Basketball League.Profesionālais klubs tika dibināts 2014. gadā, bet līdz tam bija vietējā komanda, kas spēlēja otrā līmeņa basketbolu. Ogrei ir sena vēsture tādu profesionālu spēlētāju audzināšanā kā Kaspars Bērziņš, Artūrs Bērziņš, Rinalds Sirsniņš un daudzi citi. History City of Ogre has a long history of bringing up professional basketball players, including Kaspars Bērziņš, Artūrs Bērziņš and Rinalds Sirsniņš who have all once played for Latvia national basketball team. In 2009 local sports school's team started to play in Latvian 2nd division. After going to semi-finals in debut season management was assured of going to right direction with participation in 2nd division. As Latvian Basketball League was looking for new teams to join the league, Ogre first started to think of going fully professional in 2014. ...

Ralfs Tumaševs
John Ralfs (13 September 1807 – 14 July 1890) was an English botanist. Born in Millbrook, near Southampton, he was the second son of Samuel Ralfs, a yeoman of an old family in Hampshire. He has been commemorated in the names of many plant groups and taxa at many levels. Early life and education Ralfs's father died at Mudeford near Christchurch before John was a year old, and the children (two sons and two daughters) were brought up at Southampton by their mother. After being educated privately he was articled to his uncle, a surgeon of Brentford, with whom he lived for two years and a half. For two years he was a pupil at Winchester Hospital, and in 1832 he passed his final examination, being specially recommended by the examiners for his knowledge of botany.
