Kashif (musician)
Kashif Saleem (born Michael Jones; December 26, 1956 – September 25, 2016) was an American multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, record producer, artist, composer, author, director and educator from New York City. As a teenager, Kashif joined the funk group B. T. Express. He studied Islam and changed his name from Michael Jones to Kashif. He later signed with Arista Records enjoying success as a solo artist. Together with Stevie Wonder, he was considered a pioneer in urban music thanks to his specific synthesizer technology approach and the introduction of MIDI in his production. Exposé is an American Latin freestyle vocal group formed in 1984 in Miami, Florida. Primarily consisting of lead vocalists Jeanette Jurado, Ann Curless, and Gioia Bruno, the group achieved much of their success between 1984 and 1993. The album was digitally remastered in 2012 by Funky Town Grooves and included six bonus tracks. Background The album includes the hit singles "Love Changes" with Meli'sa Morgan, "Love Me All Over", and "Loving You Only". Vocal trio Exposé provided most backing vocals; the track "Fifty Ways (To Fall in Love)" featured background vocals performed by Whitney Houston. Alwin Lopez Jarreau (March 12, 1940 – February 12, 2017) was an American singer and musician. Background Released from the debut album of the same title, the song became a great "crossover" success. Lloyd Price (March 9, 1933May 3, 2021) was an American singer-songwriter, record executive and bandleader, known as "Mr. Personality", after his 1959 million-selling hit, "Personality". His first recording, "Lawdy Miss Clawdy", was a hit for Specialty Records in 1952. He continued to release records, but none were as popular until several years later, when he refined the New Orleans beat and achieved a series of national hits.
