Karunamayi (film)
Karunamayi () is a 1987 Indian Kannada-language action drama film directed and co-produced by H. R. Bhargava based on the Kannada novel ''Kesaru Mosaru'' by Kakolu Saroja Rao. The film starred Vishnuvardhan and Bhavya along with Tara, K. S. Ashwath and Shivakumar in supporting roles. The film's music is scored by Rajan–Nagendra whilst the cinematography is by D. V. Rajaram who also co-produced the film. The director had revealed that Rajkumar had initially planned to make a film out of the novel on which this movie was based but later opted out after which Bhargava decided to adapt that novel on-screen. Vishnuvardhan (actor)
Sampath Kumar (18 September 1950 – 30 December 2009), known by his stage name Vishnuvardhan, was an Indian actor predominantly in Kannada cinema. He is regarded as one of the popular cultural icon of Karnataka. Vishnuvardhan is often referred to as ''Sahasa Simha'' and ''The Angry Young Man of Kannada Cinema.'' Ramesh Bhat
Ramesh Bhat is a multiple-award–winning Indian actor. He has worked predominantly in Kannada films and television serials. Early life Ramesh Bhat was born in Kundapur. He completed his primary education at Manki and portrayed national leaders like Jawaharlal Nehru in school day functions. He moved to Bangalore when his father, Rathnakar Rao, migrated there. He later studied at Model High School in Chamarajapet, Bangalore and went on to complete his diploma in mechanical engineering from SJ Polytechnic in Bangalore. He briefly worked at Kirloskar as a fitter before joining his father's business. He also ran his own business in Basavanagudi. Career In the 1960s and 1970s, young Ramesh worked with theatre groups like Spandana, Nataranga, and Benaka. Doddanna (born 11 November 1949) is an Indian actor in the Kannada film industry who has acted in about 800 films. He started his career as a theatre actor. During this time, he entered the Kannada film industry as a character actor. Early life Doddanna was born on 11 November 1949. Pandari Bai (1930 – 29 January 2003) was an Indian actress who worked in South Indian cinema, mostly in Kannada cinema during the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. She is considered Kannada cinema's first successful heroine. She has acted as both heroine and mother to stalwarts such as Rajkumar, M. G. Ramachandran, Sivaji Ganesan.
