Karin Tammaru
Karin Tammaru (born 27 January 1971) is an Estonian stage, television and film actress. Early life and education Karin Tammaru was born in Paide, in Järva County to Leonhard-Heinrich Tammaru and Linda Tammaru (''née'' Dröner). She has one sister. She studied at Tallinn 7th School between 1976 and 1986. Afterward, she attended secondary school at the Jakob Westholm Gymnasium, studying music, from 1986, until graduating in 1989. After graduating from secondary school, she studied at Tallinn Pedagogical Institute (now, Tallinn University) from 1990 until 1992 before continuing her studies at EMA Higher Drama School (now, the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre) in Tallinn, graduating in 1996. Paide is a town in Estonia and the capital of Järva County, one of the 15 counties of Estonia. Maurice Maeterlinck
Maurice Polydore Marie Bernard Maeterlinck (29 August 1862 – 6 May 1949), also known as Count (or Comte) Maeterlinck from 1932, was a Belgian playwright, poet, and essayist who was Flemish but wrote in French. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1911 "in appreciation of his many-sided literary activities, and especially of his dramatic works, which are distinguished by a wealth of imagination and by a poetic fancy, which reveals, sometimes in the guise of a fairy tale, a deep inspiration, while in a mysterious way they appeal to the readers' own feelings and stimulate their imaginations". TV3 is a commercial television channel targeted at an Estonian language audience owned by Providence Equity Partners. History It was founded in 1996 after two recently established television stations, EVTV and RTV, were merged. TV3 has two sister channels. TV6 is a television channel targeted at entertainment television channel in Estonia, launched in 2002. TV8 is an entertainment television channel, launched as a digital sister channel to TV3 in 2009. For several years, TV3 had better ratings than the other private channel, Kanal 2. The situation changed in 2006, when Kanal 2 made some big changes in their programme. Katrin Laur (née Poola, born in 1955, in Tartu, Estonia) is an author, film director, and professor who currently lives in Estonia and Germany. In 1973 in Soviet-occupied Tallinn she graduated from a school that gave an excellent command of English (Tallinn Secondary School N°7), she then had different jobs. Laur learned photography at the Tallinn Technical School N°2 and studied philosophy for one year at the Moscow State University. From 1977 to 1982 Laur studied feature film directing at the Moscow State Institute of Cinematography (VGIK), in the masterclass of Sergey Gerasimov, and graduated in 1982 with a diploma summa cum laude (diploma film: “Kolm tundi rongi väljumiseni” – “Three Hours before the Train leaves.”).
