Karin Falck
Anna Karin Margareta Falck (; born 6 February 1932) is a Swedish television director, hostess and producer. Career Karin Falck was born in Säffle, Värmland County and lived her first six years of life in Karlstad. She moved with her mother and younger brother to Stockholm when she was 6 years old since her father died. In her youth, she dreamed of playing ice hockey. When Karin Falck started on TV, she had studied theater history and English at Stockholm University, where she wrote an essay on children's theater. She then became an assistant to Elsa Olenius who started Barnteatern (now Vår Teater). She began her TV career in 1954 as a scriptwriter in Alf Sjöberg's TV set of Hamlet. Curiosity about the television medium made her apply for Radiotjänst's first producer course in 1955. The supervisors came from the BBC in London. Säffle
Säffle () is a locality and the seat of Säffle Municipality, Värmland County, Sweden with 9,150 inhabitants in 2016. In 1951 the town of Säffle was officially awarded City status, the last place for this to occur in Sweden. This was abolished in 1971 and Säffle is now the seat of the much larger Säffle Municipality. History Säffle's main growth as a town took place after the building of a canal in 1837 which allowed boats to safely bypass a section of turbulent water and rapids in the Byälven river. In 1879 the railway came, linking Säffle with both the west and east coasts, the capital Stockholm and the busy port of Gothenburg. This enabled Säffle to transport her wood products and the village soon became a thriving town. In 1882 Säffle had a population of 700 inhabitants. Eurovision Song Contest 1975
The Eurovision Song Contest 1975 was the 20th edition of the annual Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Stockholm, Sweden, following the country's victory at the with the song " Waterloo" by ABBA. Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster Sveriges Radio (SR), the contest was held at Stockholmsmässan on 22 March 1975, and was hosted by Swedish television director Karin Falck. It was the first time that the contest had taken place in Sweden. Nineteen countries participated in the contest, beating the previous record of eighteen, that was first set in the 1965 edition. France and Malta returned after their one-year and two-year absences, respectively. Turkey made its debut, while Greece decided not to enter after its debut the year prior. The winner of the contest was the Netherlands who won with the song "Ding-a-dong", performed by Teach-In, written by Will Luikinga and Eddy Ouwens, and composed by Dick Bakker. Cornelia Maria "Corry" Brokken (3 December 1932 – 31 May 2016) was a Dutch singer, television presenter and jurist. In 1957, she won the second edition of the Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Net als toen", representing the Netherlands. Throughout her career, she scored a number of hits, sang in the popular ''Sleeswijk Revue'' with Snip en Snap, and had her own television show. She was also the presenter of the Eurovision Song Contest 1976, which was held in The Hague, Netherlands, following the victory of Teach-In the year before. The Eurovision Song Contest is an annual international song competition, held every year by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) since 1956. This page is a list of people who have acted as presenters of the contest. Since 1988, it has been the norm to have at least two presenters for the contest.
