Karerpass
The Karerpass (; lld, Jouf de Ciareja; ) (1745 m) is a high mountain pass in the province of South Tyrol in Italy. It connects Bolzano through the Eggental and the Welschnofen Valley with the Fassa Valley. Just below the pass on the Welschnofen Valley side is the Karersee lake. Nigerpass
The Nigerpass ( it, Passo Nigra; german: Nigerpass) (1688 m) is a high mountain pass in the Dolomites in the province of South Tyrol in Italy. It connects the Tierser Tal with the Karerpass. The pass lies below the Rosengarten massif and borders on the Schlern Nature Preserve. The pass road was built in 1957 and has a maximum grade of 24%, making it the steepest pass in Italy. Bolzano
Bolzano ( or ; german: Bozen, (formerly ); bar, Bozn; lld, Balsan or ) is the capital city of the province of South Tyrol in northern Italy. Karersee
Lake Carezza ( it, Lago di Carezza; german: Karersee) is a small alpine lake in the Dolomites in South Tyrol, Italy. It is known for its wonderful colors and its view of the Latemar mountain range. Characterization The name of the lake derives from "Caricaceae", a family of plants with broad lobed leaves. The lake is located in the western Dolomites on the edge of the Latemarwald, just 20 kilometers southeast of Bolzano at 1520 m altitude in the municipality Welschnofen. The nearest settlement is Carezza. The roughly 300 m long and 140 m wide stretch of water is fed by underground springs from the Latemar mountain range. Today the lake is one of the classic tourist destinations of the Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, Trentino-Alto Adige. This is a list of the highest paved roads in Europe. It includes roads that are over long and whose culminating point is at least above sea level. This height approximately corresponds to that of the highest settlements in Europe and to the tree line in several mountain ranges such as the Alps and the Pyrenees, where most of the highest roads are located.
