Karen Randers-Pehrson
Karen Randers-Pehrson (16 August 1932 − 4 February 2019) was a Norwegian actress and stage director. She was born in Oslo. She was assigned with the theatres Riksteatret, Trøndelag Teater and Den Nationale Scene. She chaired the Norwegian Actors' Equity Association from 1977 to 1980, and was rector at the Norwegian National Academy of Theatre from 1981 to 1985. Randers-Pehrson made her film debut in Arne Skouen's '' Barn av solen'' in 1955, and played in the comedy '' Ektemann alene'' in 1956. Norwegian Actors' Equity Association
The Norwegian Actors' Equity Association ( no, Norsk Skuespillerforbund) is an association of Norwegian actors. Its main purpose is to improve actors' working conditions and to protect the artistic, judicial and financial interests of actors in Norway. The association was established in 1898, after an initiative from actor Sigurd Asmundsen at a birthday party in 1897, followed by a preparatory meeting in April 1898, and a constituent meeting 27 October 1898. The first chairman was Sigvard Gundersen, with Johanne Dybwad as vice chairman, and Christian Sandal as first secretary. Important issues during the early years were contractual conditions, pensions, and regulation of foreign ensembles. The association's first Honorary member was actor and later theatrical director Bjørn Bjørnson, nominated in May 1900. Oslo
Oslo ( , , or ; sma, Oslove) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. ''Krypskyttere'' (Poachers) is a Norwegian drama film from 1982 directed by Hans Otto Nicolayssen. the film deals with a conflict between the military and the civilian population over the rights to a military firing range. The Cold War is the backdrop for the story. The main roles are played by Jon Eivind Gullord, Hans Rotmo, Per Gørvell and Nils Gaup. The film is in black and white. Plot Martin, who is doing his military service, is sent out for shooting practice with his squad in his own hometown. Disputes between the locals and the military over the use of a firing range create loyalty conflicts for Martin. The villagers, led by Martin's father, disagree with the military about the right to use the area. International politics also comes into play when the US military wants to deploy missile silos for nuclear weapons in the forest.
