Karachi City Station ( ur, ), formerly McLeod Station, is one of two main Karachi railway terminals along with the Karachi Cantonment station. Karachi City Station is located on I. I. Chundrigar Road, adjacent to Habib Bank Plaza, in Karachi, Pakistan. This station is headquarters of the Pakistan Railways - Karachi Division. History Karachi City Station was first established along the southern edge of McLeod Road (now I. I. Chundrigar Road) as the southern terminus point of the Scinde Railway, which was established in March 1855. A railway line was to be constructed between Karachi and Kotri and work on the Karachi terminus commenced in April 1858. On 13 May 1861, the line was opened to the public, and was the first railway line for public traffic between Karachi and Kotri, a distance of 108 miles (174 km).

Karachi Circular Railway (abbreviated as KCR) ( ur, , Sindhi: ڪراچي سرڪيولر ريلوي) is a partially active regional public transit system in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan, which serves the Karachi metropolitan area. KCR was fully operational between 1964 to 1994, until it was abruptly shutdown in 1999. Since 2001, several restart attempts were sought and in November 2020, the KCR partially revived operations on the orders of Supreme Court of Pakistan. With its hub at Karachi City station on I. I. Chundrigar Road, KCR's revived operations would extend north to Gadap, east to Dhabeji, south to Kiamari and west to Hub in Balochistan. Habib Bank Plaza
Habib Bank Plaza (), also known as HBL Plaza, located on I. I. Chundrigar Road in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan, is the head office of Habib Bank Limited. It was once the tallest building in Asia, a title that hasn't been held by any other building in South Asia, and was one of only three to hold the title outside of East and Southeast Asia, while still under construction between 1963 and 1968. It was also the tallest building in South Asia until 1972, being surpassed by the Express Towers. It remained the tallest building in Pakistan for four decades until the 29-floor and 116m tall MCB Tower was built. HBL Plaza was inaugurated to mark the 25th anniversary of the bank, and started its operations on 4 September 1971. Scinde Railway
The Scinde Railway was one of the pioneering railway companies that operated in Sind Province (1936–55), Sind during the British Raj between 1855 and 1885. History The Scinde Railway was first established by deed of settlement in March 1855 and incorporated by the ''‘Scinde Railway Act’'' of Parliament in July 1855. The company contracted with the British India, government to construct a line between Karachi and Kotri. The company was granted a 5% return on investment up to a maximum of £1 million in order to build the 120-mile line.
