Founded in 1882 Kanturk GAA is a dual Senior Gaelic Athletic Association club with Gaelic football and hurling teams, based in the town of Kanturk, County Cork, Ireland which forms part of the parish of Kanturk and Lismire. Duhallow Junior A Hurling Championship
The Duhallow Junior A Hurling Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the Kanturk Co-Op Mart Junior A Hurling Championship) is an annual hurling competition organised by the Duhallow Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association since 1933 for junior hurling teams in the Barony of Duhallow in County Cork, Ireland. The series of games are played during the summer and autumn months. The championship starts with 2 groups and the group winners and runners-up advance to the knockout stage. This gives each team at least 2 matches. The Duhallow Junior Championship is an integral part of the wider Cork Junior Hurling Championship. The winners and runners-up of the Duhallow championship join their counterparts from the other six divisions to contest the county championship. Rockchapel GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the village of Rockchapel in the North West of County Cork, Ireland which forms part of the parish of Rockchapel and Meelin. The village is located close to border with County Kerry and County Limerick. The club plays Gaelic Football in the Duhallow division competitions. Ladies' Gaelic football is also played within the club. Famous players include the recently deceased Cormac Curtin. Curtin hurled for Peters, Pauls, Meelin, and Freemount before finally settling down with Rockchapel. Ballydesmond GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Ballydesmond in Cork, Ireland. Its Gaelic Football team participates in competitions organized by Cork GAA, and is a member of Duhallow division. Castletownroche () is a townland, village, and civil parish in the barony of Fermoy, County Cork, Ireland. It is located on the N72 national secondary road. In ancient times, it was known in Irish as ''Dún Chruadha'', meaning Cruadha's Fort. Castletownroche is located on the River Awbeg in the Blackwater Valley about eight miles (13 km) from Mallow. Banteer () is a village in north County Cork, Ireland located in the Civic Parish of Clonmeen in the Barony of Duhallow. It is near the town of Mallow. Dromtarriffe GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the north-west of County Cork, Ireland. The club is affiliated to the Duhallow division of Cork GAA. Their hurling team currently competes in the Duhallow Junior A Hurling Championship and their football team currently competes in the Cork Intermediate A Football Championship. The club has historically been concerned with the game of Gaelic football, but also fields teams in hurling competitions. Dromtarriffe (or Dromtarriff or Dromtariffe) is a small townland, as well as being the name of the parish in the same area.
